Well what more can I say, we have been back from Disney World for 4 days now, and I feel a bit depressed. This was DS9 and my first trip and he's a little depressed too. We had sooo much fun we didn't want to leave. Being in Disney was like being in a fantasy for me, I've wanted to go there my whole life and my DH made my dream come true. I am soooo grateful to him.

We stayed at ASSports and was given a preferred room upon check in. We stayed in the Surfs Up building, this was the closest building to the End Zone Food Court and the bus stops. We absolutely loved this resort, my DS9 was amazed we are all big sports fans. GO LSU!!!!! And if you were there between 11/18-11/25 like us, you would have wondered what was up with all the LSU fans in the parks. We had a couple of people ask us if LSU was in a Championship or something. All we could do was laugh.

We were on the DDP and loved it. We ate some really good meals. My family's favorite meal of course was O'Hana's at the Poly. All the food was delicious but the Bread Pudding with the rum/banana sauce was the bomb. I wanna go back just so I can have the dessert. The only meal my DH didn't like much was The Garden Grill, mainly because he doesn't eat vegetables and he didn't like the meat either. However, I loved it, but we took a family vote and will not be returning there. Coral Reef was another good meal. My main complaint about any of the food was there was no spices, next time we go I will be traveling with my Tony's and Tabasco Sauce. Can you tell I'm cajun?!?

The parks were awesome and so were the rides! The Christmas decorations were beautiful. I esp. loved the snow in MGM. Hats off to the Osbourne family for the Spectacle of Lights. It was like being in a dream.

I'm already making plans to go back in Feb 08. My son's birthday is Feb 3 and Mardi Gras falls on Feb 5 that year, this will be a wonderful birthday present for him. How will I survive until our next trip?

I wish I knew how to post pics so I could so everyone how happy we were. Well I have rambled enough about my trip I hope you guys enjoy reading it.

Glad you had such a great 1st trip.

We have been many times and get a bit down the first few days back. It helps we always have a trip planned and the DIS helps as well . Every trip report lets us relive something we did on one of our trips.

I went through the same thing upon returning from our trip in September. I had planned it for so long and it ended up being the "perfect" trip I'd dreamed of. Then when we got back, I was really down for quite a while! Didn't even come here to the DIS for at least a week! :sad2:

I'm ok now and can look back with a smile instead of woe. I'm looking ahead to my next trip, which won't be until '08 so I've got a lot longer to wait than you! :sad1: But I've found that just thinking about that "next time" helps a lot.

It's such an awesome place, isn't it?!! :cloud9:

Thanks you guys. It really helps hearing words of encouragement. My son and I really want to go back next year but DH wants to go somewhere's else. I guess I'll have to wait till then and keep on DISing till then.

Thanks again!!!

Planning is have the fun of going on vacation. Start a count down timer for when you can book your resort. I think it is 380 days out, which isn't really that far away for Feb. 08.

Thanks for the report. I know what you mean about feeling down when you get back. My wife also cries everytime we leave the park for the airport. And yes it helps a lot to start planning the next trip.

Feb08 isn't so far away! The DIS will give you a Disney fix when you need it, 24 hours a day! LOL! :surfweb: Glad you had a wonderful first trip - and during the holidays, no less! Awesome! :goodvibes

Happy to hear you had such a wonderful trip! Sorry you are suffering from those post Disney blues ... I think it is quite common.

I'm gonna work on my trip report for you guys to read. Hopefully that will help me a bit. I'll try to post it tonight, although I must warn you I've never did a trip report before so please bare with me. I'll do my best.

ARRIVAL DAY-Crew DH29, DS9 and me DW29. ASSPORTS Check in was a breeze, not too busy. Received our Key to the World card and CM explained the DDP. I had ordered DS9 a welcome basket from Mickey since it was his and my first trip to Disney World. The CM asked if it was a special occasion and I told her that it was our first trip to Disney and she gave us each a 1st trip button to wear and gave DS9 a balloon. We also received a Preferred room at no extra charge.

After check in we headed to DTD via Disney Transportation. We had ADRs for 7:30pm @ Planet Hollywood. We were using the meal voucher we received with our MYW package. We were there 10 minutes ahead of ADR and we waited maybe 15 min. before we were seated. DS9 had the child's burger and fries, he said it was very good. DH had the chicken and steak faijitas and he loved it, esp. the rice that came with it. I had the Hickory BBQ Bacon Burger (w/o the BBQ sauce) and fries and it was sooo good and huge, I couldn't even eat the whole burger. We really enjoyed this meal but were way too full for dessert. We gave this meal an A+.

DAY 1 (11/19/06) Had breakfast in the End Zone Food Court at our resort, very good, I can't remember exactly what everyone had but I had the Mickey waffles and they were the best. After breakfast we were off to Magic Kingdom. We were able to get there before the park opened and were able to see the opening act, which was awesome.

Our first ride was Thunder Mountain, DS9 loves trains so this was a must for us. There was so much to do and see I can't remember every little detail, mainly because I felt like a little kid again. I really was in heaven. We ate lunch at Pecos Bill's and DS9 was not happy with the kid's menu so I ate the kid's sloppy joe and he ordered an adult meal. The sloppy joe was not bad at all. We really enjoyed this CS meal.

We did catch Dreams Come True on stage, which was wonderful.

We had ADRs for 7:50pm @ Chef Mickey's so we hopped on the Monorail to the Contemporary. We were there around 7:30pm and took our picture in front of the plate, we weren't seated until around 8pm. This was a real fun place for children, DS9 really liked it. The character interaction was great, his favorite was Donald. The food was okay, 2 items stood out , the chicken alfredo and the baked chicken were awesome.

We made it back to MK just in time for Spectromagic, we stood right in front of the Castle with no one infront of us so we were able to sit on the ground and watch it. MK had EMH this night and stayed open till 1am. Boy did the park clear out after Spectromagic. We went to Tomorrowland to catch a few rides we hadn't done yet and we got in line for Buzz Lightyear and the CM starts telling us that all the rides in the park were closed due to technical difficulties, this was a bummer for us. So we left MK @ 11pm since they didn't know how long the rides would be down for.

Coming up next Day 2.......

DAY 2 (11/20/06)- We skipped breakfast this morning and headed to MGM Studios. Our first must do was Hollywood Tower of Terror. DH stayed behind and waited for me and DS9 at the exit. Boy was this line long but well worth it, this ride was soooo awesome. DS9 loved it, which I thought he might be scared but he surprised me. Next we went get fast passes to R-n-R. While waiting for our fast pass time to come so we went get a pretzel using our Snack Credits. We all got one and couldn't eat it all, they had way too much salt on them we had to dust the salt grains off.

The time had come for us to go back to R-n-R, we had our fast passes and were ready to roll. We were the next people in line to get into the car when DS9 decides he doesn't want to go on this ride so DH takes him to the exit waiting area. I rode by myself and I think this was my favorite ride of them all. I'm really glad DS9 didn't want to ride because DH would not have been able to handle this ride. He's not one for going upside down esp in the dark. He would have been sick all day long.

MGM had great informative shows, One Man's Dream was really interesting, DS9 enjoyed learning about how it all got started. Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show was another must see, my DH and DS9 really enjoyed this show. The Hollywood Holly Day Parade was very good also.

ADRs were for 7:50pm @ Sci-Fi Dine In Theater, DS9's must do. This ambiance of this rest. was so cool. We sat in a pink cadilac. DS9 ordered burger and fries(as usual) DH had the onion rings for appetizer and Ribs for his entree. I ordered the chili for an appetizer and shoulder steak for my entree. Son fell asleep immediately after eating so the waitress brought us his sundae and DH got the cheesecake to go and I got the chocolate pie to go. (Ate it for breakfast the next morning and was GOOD!!!) We gave this meal another A+.

Day 3 coming soon.....

DAY 3 (11/21/06)- Skipped breakfast and headed to EPCOT. Of course DS9's must do here was Test Track, which I must say was totally cool! We were able to put those pics on our Photo Pass Card. DS9 had his EPCOT passport and was ready to hit the countries. We stayed in Mexico to eat CS meal at San Angel Cantina, this was very, very good. I only remember that I ordered the Nachos and a Churro. All I can say was we all said YUMMY at the same time. This was a good CS meal.

After eating it was almost time for the Disney Visa Cardholder's Meet 'N Greet so we went back to the front of the park for that, we didn't have to wait long. We were able to meet Minnie and Goofy, they were dressed in the YOAMD attire. It was really nice. We went to collect our photo and the CM let us put a border and a signature on the photo we selected. Everyone is sooo nice here.

We had ADRs for 7:30pm for Garden Grill, we thought if we got there early we could get in Soarin' since we hadn't done that yet. Boy what were we thinking, there was a 2 hour wait so we decided to just go and wait for our ADR instead. This was my family's least favorite meal. I thought it was just okay, but DH did not and we decided we would not return to this rest. ever again.

Illuminations was awesome!!! It was a little hard for DS9 to see the world on the water, it was very crowded. DH tried to put him on his shoulders so he could see but DS9 is slightly scared of heights.

DAY 4 (11/22/06)- Animal Kingdom day, we were there at the opening of the park, had ADRs for 9:20am for Donald's Breakfasaurus. But before we headed to breakfast we went get fast passes for Expedition Everest. Good thing we did because the line was already a mile long.

Breakfast was sooo good! We were able to visit with Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy. DS9 really liked the meal.

After breakfast was over it was time for our Fast Passes to Expedition Everest. So we headed on over to that ride. The line was still a mile long. This ride was soooooo awesome. I love these fast and suspenseful rides.

DH and I split 1 CS meal later that day at Flame Tree Barbeque. This was by far the absolute best ribs and chocolate cake I have ever had. They need one of these places in every one of Disney's Parks. I absolutely loved the food here!!!

It's Tough To Be A Bug was the cutest and funniest show I have ever seen before. Never before have I been spit on, sprayed w/stink, poked in the shoulder and the butt. It was sooo awesome.

We had ADRs for 8:10pm at O'Hana's. This was our favortie TS out of them all. The food was unbelievable. DS9 fell asleep and didn't eat anything, and yes I did get a picture of him sleeping. This will be a must do TS meal for all of our future trips. We were able to see the fireworks as we were eating our meal. The entertainment was awesome, the lady was not too loud. It was a very romantic meal since DS9 fell asleep.

Day 5 coming up next.......
