Hello Folks,
Just got back from the Wonder Cruise May 10-14 2009
I do have a few thoughts and observations
1) I'm handicapped and stayed in Room 7138 and it was good and bad at the same time. On one hand the room was roomy and had planty of room to get around. The veranda was huge and you could have held a baseball game in there and the bathroom and shower were also huge and walk in also- the bad is I hope that when the wonder dry docks they replace the rugs they look very old and worn and the room just needs to be updated.
By the way If you stay in #7138 Troy Trevor Borown was an awesome Host and one would be hard pressed to find better. He was there anytime we needed him and worked very hard to keep us happy.(On they last day of our stay we had a flood in our room , and our luggage got wet-not the fault of anyone it just happened- and they did their best to dry it for us)
2) Had T,A,A,PC for Dinner rotation and had a wonderful time our wait crew was very attentive to my 3 yo niece and worked around her shyness bu even after 4 days of hard work they could not bring her out(Sawek was very very nice) If you Disney supervisors read this please mention it to him. We even met our crew from out last cruise-Aurturo and Faisel
3) If your are handicapped and rent a ECV for your trip its very hard to navigate the hallways in the stateroom areas-due to the fact that the cleaning staff uses big carts when cleaning( I do not fault them as they are doing what keeps them employed-thier job-and well done they do it
but it is hard to traverse the hallways when the cleaning staff is working
4) Take advantage of all the ships services including room service-its nice to be pampered when a meal or snack comes to your room and all you have to do is thank them and tip-(you do tip them don't you?)
5)I can't say enough about the customer service-every staff member I encountered was super friendly and acomidating no matter what department they worked in-awesome
6) I saw all the Disers and even met a few af em' I've learned so much from this discussion group and have all of you to thank for it. Any future cruisers who read my post remember to scour this group every day- You will learn something new every day-I garantee it
All in all a great time. I dont know when I cruise again but if I do it will be on a Disney vessel
Thanks
Peter Hopkins
