Hello Folks,

Just got back from the Wonder Cruise May 10-14 2009:cool1:

I do have a few thoughts and observations

1) I'm handicapped and stayed in Room 7138 and it was good and bad at the same time. On one hand the room was roomy and had planty of room to get around. The veranda was huge and you could have held a baseball game in there and the bathroom and shower were also huge and walk in also- the bad is I hope that when the wonder dry docks they replace the rugs they look very old and worn and the room just needs to be updated.
By the way If you stay in #7138 Troy Trevor Borown was an awesome Host and one would be hard pressed to find better. He was there anytime we needed him and worked very hard to keep us happy.(On they last day of our stay we had a flood in our room , and our luggage got wet-not the fault of anyone it just happened- and they did their best to dry it for us)

2) Had T,A,A,PC for Dinner rotation and had a wonderful time our wait crew was very attentive to my 3 yo niece and worked around her shyness bu even after 4 days of hard work they could not bring her out(Sawek was very very nice) If you Disney supervisors read this please mention it to him. We even met our crew from out last cruise-Aurturo and Faisel

3) If your are handicapped and rent a ECV for your trip its very hard to navigate the hallways in the stateroom areas-due to the fact that the cleaning staff uses big carts when cleaning( I do not fault them as they are doing what keeps them employed-thier job-and well done they do it
but it is hard to traverse the hallways when the cleaning staff is working

4) Take advantage of all the ships services including room service-its nice to be pampered when a meal or snack comes to your room and all you have to do is thank them and tip-(you do tip them don't you?)

5)I can't say enough about the customer service-every staff member I encountered was super friendly and acomidating no matter what department they worked in-awesome

6) I saw all the Disers and even met a few af em' I've learned so much from this discussion group and have all of you to thank for it. Any future cruisers who read my post remember to scour this group every day- You will learn something new every day-I garantee it

All in all a great time. I dont know when I cruise again but if I do it will be on a Disney vessel

Thanks

How was your dining experience as far as the food goes? Lots of talk on this board about it. Can you share your thoughts, since you've just experienced it!popcorn::

I was on this cruise as well, and I have a wonderful dining experience. If you don't like what they brought you, just order another meal! Our group definately took advantage of this. The food was very good on this trip, I had not complaints at all!!!
Oh, and if you can do Palo, DO IT!!! It's am amazing experience!

Wonderful! If you haven't already, mention this on the "Hope you're not curising for the food thread"! We need to hear more from people who had a good experience!

I've sailed 6 times on DCL and the food is why I keep coming back. They make such a production out of it and it's awesome!!! I've been on cruises where the food was very "old country buffet"
This is NOT the case here !

Thanks for sharing!!

I hope we get the same rotation you did.....that would be perfect for us, as DH & I are at PALO on night three, so we'd get to see the show in Animators on the first night!

The food it self was awesome-very rich-Triton's food was the best of them all. I'm a meat and potatoes guy but the food was well presented and by god it tasted real too:rotfl::cool1::rotfl:

Make sure you do online check in and check out so on debarkation day after breakfast just walk off the ship and your bags will be waiting for you when you get to your final destination. Make life very easy for that day.

And by the way on the wonder on the tv christian does his debarkation speech that does play continously- he's right it will help you sleep.

If I can help in any way let me know:cool1::surfweb::cool1:

I see that your going on the Wonder on the 24th please come back and tell us what you think of the changes with the food your opinion will be valued!

Phopkins1958, could you please PM me your navigators and movie list if you kept them. My daughter (7) is dying to see them before our trip June 7. Many thanks.

I will definitely post a food report. I'll be sailing in 4 days, can't wait.
