Hey Guys,
well we ended up going to disneyworld the day after frances hit, and i have to tell you, THE BEST TRIP of our lives. the parks were empty, when i say empty i mean the entire week, you could walk up to any, i mean ANY ride, and get right on, and the best part was if you wanted to stay on and ride it over and over again they let you, the cast members payed extra special attention to you , and they were in the greatest moods because crowds were light, we walked on test track in epcot, and went right in the car, then rode it again for three times in a row without ever getting out. Restaruants, you could get into any PS dining you wanted. we did it all. One of the cast members told us that it was so empty there, that the parks were even more empty from the hurricane than they were for 9/11. There was NO damage at all to disneyworld, but some of the hotels outside had damage, i know the holiday inn , inside disneyworld. had the worst damage, they had dozens of rooms have their windows blown out, and tons and tons of water damage. Any way, just wanted to report, if you have any questions just ask

Did you go to any grocery stores or buy gas?

That's the main thing I'm wondering about. Are grocery stores pretty much stocked or are we going to have problems finding our food supplies on our trip? Also, is it hard to find gas?

I'm glad you had such a great (and safe) time!!

Is it really hot and humid since they have had all of the rain? Boy, I hope the case of fewer guests holds out for another week! I can hardly wait!

Hi,
There is plenty of gas around disneyworld and inside disney world, so you wont have a problem there, the grocery stores are pretty much stocked, no problems there, and the weather is sooooo beautiful, it is hot during the day, not humid just hot from the sun, and at night there is a beautiful breeze, it seems the hurricane made the weather less humid.
any other questions just ask.

Were the pools colder than normal because of the rain. How much rain do you have?

the pools were a little bit cooler, than normal. due to the rain i am guessing, but it was a pleasure to be in the cool pool because within a few minutes of getting out, it was very comfortable sitting on the lounge chairs relaxing:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

maybe you can answer this one, I cant seem to get a good one.
Can you carry a small soft cooler into the park? we dont like coke products and want to carry in pepsi .

hi ,
yes if it is small enough and you dont mind carrying it, yes you can, but there is a security check in , they check inside all bags and totes, they do not care if you take sandwhiches, soda, water etc, but it cant be a carrying cooler, it woud have to be like a backpack or waste carrying cooler, i knew someone who put a couple of cold compresses, inside a back pack, and loaded it up with soda, and used the lockers in the front of the parks, she kept it in there they only thing is you have to go back to the front of the park when you want drinks, but you can keep one in a backpack on your back and keep several other bottles cold inside the locker in the other backpack, she does it every time she goes., hope that helps you.

Thank you for the info. that seems to be the consensus from the other posting I made too. I have a basket under my stroller to hold it so carrying it isnt an issue. Strollers are more than just for kids, lol
thanks again and heres to hoping next week is just as "empty" as the week you went. ::MinnieMo
