Just wanted to post quickly about our great trip!
We arrived around 8PM Wed (16th), 1st time staying at CSR & the resort looked beautiful @ night! We walked in & there was no line at the front desk, were helped by some terrific CMs there. When I was told what room we were going to be in & wanted to check to be sure it was a non-smoking room, the CM called the manager over. She explained that we did have a guaranteed non-smoking room but since the resort was full due to a convention (hello Servicemaster people!), that we were going to be placed in a Junior Suite. WOW! She did mention that the suite "had" been smoking, but we couldn't tell the difference at all when we walked into it, they really must have worked hard with the refurb because I can always smell smoke & couldn't smell it at all in this room.
The Jr. Suite was awesome, it gave DH & I our own king bed room with a separate room for DS to sleep in the Murphy bed. It is really just like 2 rooms with the connecting door, except the second room had 2 wicker chairs, a different type of TV armoire and a desk with a fax machine on it. Otherwise it was just like any other room and it was awesome to have the extra space!
We used the pool and the hot tub, spent lots of time eating at the Pepper Market and walking around the resort. It is really much nicer, IMO, than CBR. We felt like we were staying at a deluxe with the exception of the outside corridors. We are planning on changing our January ressies to include CSR, that's how much we liked it!
The bus transportation was very good to excellent, we waited 1 time for 15 minutes for a bus, but others at the stop told us we had just missed the MGM bus, so that was expected. We found that the Bus Stop #1 was more convenient that the #2 stop from our room (Room #1482).
The only thing I would like to see different would be more lifeguards at the pool. When we were there they only had 2 lifeguards at the stations (one by the pool bar and the other by the slide). It seemed that the guard by the slide had their hands full with watching the slide and the other half of the pool. No problems really just my .02!
Any questions???
