Just back from CSR, any questions ?

Just back from 5 nights at the CSR & we loved it. Got a room in Casitas 2 pretty close to the food courtyard & the bus but a very long hike to the pool. Didn't mind since the quiet pool was really close. We had a wonderful time, the resort is beautiful, not too crowded, the service was excellent & the bus service was the best of ANY hotel we've stayed at. The weather was clear, sunny & breazy. PERFECT. The only down side was MK was too crowded even with fast pass so we compensated by exploring Epcot, AK & MGM to our hearts content which was way less crowded.

Welcome back, and thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am so happy to know that you have had a wonderful day at CS. I have just booked my honeymoon trip in October, and I have chosen CS for my 4 night stays. For sure my hubby and I will enjoy a good time there.

One question for you, how long did it take you to go from CS to places like Epcot, MK, MGM, Disney Institue, AK, Contemporary resorts? Are they far away? Is the bus difficult to take?

I would like to my some breakfast PS before I leave for WDW. So I would like to know how long it will take us to go to each place in order to make a proper ressie.

We stayed in Casitas 2, we just crossed the parking lot & were at Bus Stop 2. From there MGM was 7 to 8 min, Magic Kingdom about 10 min. AK 5 min. Those drivers can get you there before you know it. But bear in mind the busses do stop first at the other bus stops, in this order usually 2,3,4 & the main center. Not difficult to take at all & they even have a bus that takes you to Boardwalk & Downtown Disney. Since there are so many bus stops you're never far away from one. The only one I saw got a little crowded was the one for the main bldg. My recommendation is since the resort is very large (part of it's charm & beauty I think) I woud recommend find out what your main point of interest is, i.e. food courtyard, pool etc & ask to be near same before & when you arrive. They will accomodate you. I think you'll have a wonderful time. We found the hotel very romantic with the large lake in the middle & you can take nice strolls around the lake & see the different themed rooms. The pool is amazing ! Have a great time inkbounc

i am so glad to hear the positive report i will be there april 28- may 4 and have been so excited to get there--do you remeber the hours of the siesta grill by the main pool??thanks kmc and also if you took the bus to boardwalk and how far of a walk it was to epcot???

So glad to hear you had a great time. Piglet203 and I will be there in 70 days. Did you eat at the Maya Grill? We have heard that the menu has changed. If you did eat there, what was the menu like? Did you like the food that you ordered? What was your impression of the Pepper Market? Thanks for sharing.

DH and I were at CSR in December and thought it was wonderful! The grounds are incredible, and the rooms were great! We ate at the Maya grill for dinner one night and the food was pretty good. I had a mixed seafood appetizer that was fantastic! We also had breakfast there on our last day... a very generous buffet.

We ate at the Pepper Market a few times and found the food to be fair to good. It's definitely a food court, but the theming is nice.

All in all, I would recommend CSR. We only used the bus once (we had a rental car and DEFINITELY prefer to drive), so I really can't comment on the transportation aspect. The pool was great, and we were able to see the Birthday Celebration fireworks Dis put on for the press on Walt's birthday.

That being said, DH and I are on our way back in 232 days (11/3) and are staying at the WL... just can't wait!

We didn't eat at the Maya Grill. The food at the courtyard was a little above average. They even had prime rib. The bourban chicken & Mexican food was very good. THe desserts, I thought were a little small for the price though. I can't remember the pool hours but recall they weren't too extended. I think the digsite pool closed at either 10 or 11pm but don't quote me. I can say we had a wonderful time, the theming was beautiful & in person very bright & cheerful, great staff & I just loved the lake in the middle with all the different bldgs surrounding it. It made you feel like you were far far away..
