Just Back from Coronado Springs!

Love CSR! Wouldn't dream of staying anyplace else! We always stay in Cabanas 8B and it is the perfect location for us. It is between the Dig Site and the main building, and next to the quiet pool and laundry. It is so beautifully landscaped. I just can't say enough about it!

I'm trying to decide, based on access to the pool, bus stops and other areas and wondering whether there's a direct path from 8a to the back of The Dig that lets you into the pool area near the pyramid & slide? Or do you have to walk around to what looks like the main entrance near the bridge over the lagoon? I'm looking at the Live Search bird's eye view image (great site, thanks for the link!) and because of the trees I can't tell whether there's a path or not, though I'm thinking there should be.

Thanks for all the great CSR info, we were looking at the other mods but the CSR threads and Buzz2001's info page have us sold!

Yes, there is a entrance near cabana 8a. You can't go wrong with wither cabana. There is 3 entrances in total.

I don't have any questions, but I do have some comments about CSR. We have stayed there numerous times and are returning in November. Initially I had booked CR instead but DH whined so much about the price for a garden view I changed it to CSR.

We love CSR. We have stayed in Casitas 3x and Cabanas once. I prefer the look and feel of Casitas...much more Mexican/Mediterranean while Cabanas is more Caribbean. The grounds are all beautiful so it really doesn't matter where you stay! This November I am paying extra for a waterview. I have been upgraded 2x for free, but I don't want to chance it this time!

I enjoy the Pepper Market and didn't realize why until I read the above posts. I find it very annoying at the values to have to stand in line with a tray of food to pay, then have to get your drink and wander around to find a place to sit. By the time you eat, everything is cold! I will gladly pay the 10% gratuity to get hot food immediately and pay as you leave.

We also enjoyed the multiple pools at CSR. If the Dig Site is too active, a quiet pool is always an option. Lucky for us we have never been at the Dig Site when it was "too crowded."

The buses have always been frequent and uncrowded at CSR. Even when leaving MK after fireworks, the lines for the CSR bus move quickly compared to the values. Perhaps conventioneers don't go to the parks? And speaking of conventioneers....

They don't bother us in the least. Of course we are empty nesters so we enjoy the adult feel of the resort. One of our favorite nighttime activities at the resort is grabbing a drink at the bar and sitting outside El Centro and observing the "party." We even saw the notorious gator in the lake one night!

Okay, I will stop gushing. I am just soooo homesick for WDW right now and these memories help salve the pain.
Well said!! :thumbsup2
