Just Back From CBR

My mom, my daughters, and I just returned from a great Disney vacation. CBR was wonderful as usual! We stayed in Jamaica, Room 4404, and it was a perfect location for us. The bus stop was right across the parking lot and was very convenient for us. We never waited more than 15 minutes and most of the time it was 5 minutes.

The room was very clean, and the maids did an excellent job every day cleaning. We did get one towel animal and my daughters (ages 20 and 17) were thrilled.

We used the main pool every afternoon, and we enjoyed it very much. The food court was good but we only ate there three times. We bought the mugs for $11.99 and used them every day.

The CBR grounds were beautiful. We love all the beautiful tropical flowers, trees, and plants. The music being played throughout the CBR grounds is great too. We, also, love feeding the ducks, and as usual, they were quite friendly and happy to eat out of our hands.

We are thinking about staying at CBR next year
and it's nice to read positive things about it,
it makes our planning more exciting.
Is this the only MOD Resort you have stay in?
If not, how does it compare to other MODs?

We stayed at POR in 1999 and for us there was no comparison to CBR. POR themeing was beautiful but we just liked CBR and their tropical themeing much better. We also liked CBR rooms better - they were bigger and they had two sinks with storage underneath instead of POR's pedestal sinks. We had alot of long waits with the buses at POR, and at CBR we have never had bus issues. So now I don't even ask my daughters where they want to stay because CBR is the only place for them.

Glad to hear you had a great time. We are staying there in December, and this will be our first time in a while. I do have one question.....how packed were the buses? We are hoping to stay in Jamaica as well. Did you get a seat, or was it standing room only. Just wondering............

We only had to stand twice in the 8 days we were there, and we rode the buses numerous times every day. We did early entry every day and not once did we stand. It was only after Spectromagic parade and I think the Fantasmic show. We had a great time and the parks during early entry were not crowded. We never waited more than 10 minutes to ride a ride during early entry. This was one of our best trips with bus service and short waits for rides and shows. Have a great time in December.

We are thinking about staying at CBR next year

There is information on allearnet.com that the CBR main pool will be closed next winter/spring.
We're going there for Presidents Day weekend anyway - just glad I am forewarned.

Wondering if you used the CBR cots ie the spare bed?
and if so how much was it??


What was your favorite part of your resort stay?

We did not use the cots. We had a room with two double beds and it worked for my family.

To be honest, there was absolutely nothing negative about our resort stay. Everything was perfect. The grounds were beautiful; the main pool was very enjoyable every afternoon; the food court was always clean and there was alot of variety for my family; the bus service was excellent; the ducks were very friendly; the rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly and helpful; and the gift shop was well stocked and excellent. One evening we sat outside by the Jamaica beach and watched the Epcot fireworks. The older my daughters get, the more appreciative they get of going to Disney and CBR. This was a very magical vacation for us and everything was perfect.

We could not have asked for a better week - the temperature was around 91 every day and the humidity was not horrendous. We went to all early entries and we had very short waits for the rides and shows. It was a great week.
