Just back From CBR, really enjoyed the resort

We stayed at CBR for the first time and really enjoyed the resort. We had stayed at WL 3 other times but this was a very nice change....and the weather was 85! Couldn't believe it. We had our dinner at Old Port Royal outside on the tables looking at the lake and the beach and watching people stroll by and listening to the pretty soft relaxing live music. We were lucky to get a room at Martinique and it was clean and a corner room so we had room for our two scooters. Had no bus problems, the room was clean and very very quiet, no noises from other people in their rooms at all. We were in room 2613 so right next to the food court. We heard no construction noise either! The only nerve racking time was the morning we left, bell services was about 15 minutes late picking up our luggage and we were afraid we would miss the Magical Express so we called them a couple of times, but we made it all fine and worried for nothing. We ate the Counterservice Salmon and it was very good. We would definitely stay there again.

Petrymon, If you like a beach type laid back vacation then you will like CBR. My husband and I noticed so much how much more relaxed the atmosphere was there and how much we enjoyed it after we got back from the parks in the late afternoon. We have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge 3 times and it reminds me a lot of the Wisconsin area we enjoyed the WL but it seemed louder and not as relaxing. I grew up in Tomah, WI. I talked to my brother there this morning and it was minus 3! It has been about 50 here today. Have a great time!

Thanks for the post. I am so looking forward to the trip and relaxing is something that the whole family deserves this trip. Yep - It is VERY cold here. We left this morning for a basketball tournament in Oshkosh and the car thermometer read -13 and that is without wind chill. Oh, how I wish it was 50!!!!!!!

Yes it was very cold in Wisconsin today, I live in central wisconsin and we showed -5 and the local weather channel said it feels more like -45 and the one time I went outside it felt colder. Couldn't even get the truck or the fourwheelers started so much for riding out on the lake today. I can't wait to stay at CBR. A week left to wait!!! So excited for some warmer weather!

I was also at CBR last week, Mon-Thurs. Did not spend much time at the resort, and had a car so did not use buses. Our room was very nice, clean and close to the Registration bldg in Barbados. Corner room too. I really like the spaciousness of the rooms, and the decor too. I'm from WI, so loved the 80 degree days.

We are going down on the 23rd and staying until the first. It will be our first time staying at CBR. So glad to hear the good posts about this resort. I am SO looking forward to a relaxing week...

We stayed at the CBR in June, 2006 and June, 2007. Both times were great. We really enjoyed the food court. It has several different sections and they all serve different foods.

The Grab N Go section has fresh baked breads, muffins, cakes and pies. There were sandwiches, salads, yogurt, fruit and lots of desserts.

There was a pizza and pasta station that served, guess what....pizza, pasta, bread and salad.

The other section had chicken strips, cheeseburgers and hot dogs.

Yet another section had all types of deli sandwiches. The Reuben was my husband's favorite but they also had turkey, cheesesteaks and more.

One section was only open at dinner and they had rotissiere chicken, turkey and veggies.

In the morning, you will find Mickey waffles (with and without fruit), breakfast meats, omlets, eggs, biscuits, pancakes and more.

The drink station had a large variety of drinks to choose from. The condiment section was well stocked too.
