It was really hot, but everything was great, crowds were moderate. We only had 4 full days which was way to short being with a 4 yr. old that loved the pool and didn't want to get out.

..."village" did you stay? Also, how did you like the food court? There seems to be alot of mixed reviews about it....
Did it seem to take forever to get off the resort grounds (I've read that there are 7 bus stops at this location, so I was wondering if that results in a LONG bus ride to the parks....!!!)

Also wondering which village you stayed in. Is there a beach at TN? How was the food court and bus service? We are going in July and I'm wondering if we should stay on the first floor. Wouldn't want to open the door to a lot of bugs or creaters. Was the resort full? How was the pools? When you arrive is there someone to take you as well as your luggage to the village you are staying?

Thanks.

I am also concerned about the busses. Does it seem like it takes forever? Do you know which buiding is in the middle as far as stops? How was the food court? Could you see fireworks from your room?

I was there a few weeks ago, so I thought I would help answer your questions :)
We stayed in Aruba, which is right across the bridge from the main pool and food court area. Each "Village" has its own bus stop and we never had to wait more than about 5 minutes for ours. We were the 2nd to the last stop so when we were headed out of the resort, they only stopped once more in CBR and when we came back, we were the 2nd stop to get off. It really worked out well :D

we got back on sunday. it was HOT!!! we were also in aruba, and found the bus system wonderful! we always got a seat, and they was never much of a wait. we had a view of the illuminations show at epcot nightly from the parking lot a few steps from our room. (no parking view though, neat huh?) corner king room, very spacious. we were very pleased, and this was our very first trip to wdw! found the crowds moderate, but never had to wait too long for any ride.

love, love, love tower of terror!!!

 My friend and I are staying at the resort from May 27th to June 1st! We are celebrating our graduation!!! She wants to stay in Barbados but I want to stay in Jamaica!? Which village would be best for us? I am also confused about the busing system "in" the resort. Do the stops in each village actually take you to the parks or are they for getting to different places in the resort without walking? And is the only reason to go to the custom house is to check in and out? Also, do you think the parks and resort will be busy during this time. We will only be there during and after Memorial Day. One last question! I think!!! Does anyone know why they cancelled ALL the May E-Ride nights? We were really wanting to do this! Thanks for all the help, and if I have anymore questions I will be sure and ask!!!:D

hi t i g,

we stayed in aruba, and the last stop before the parks was always barbados. good points...it was the last stop before the parks, and close to custom house. not so good points...seats were always taken by the time we got to barbados, and there really is no need to go to custom house unless you are checking in/out. jamaica is nice cuz it is closer to the bridge to old port royal and the pool. there are busses to all parks, downtown, and also one that goes around the resort. at least from what we saw!

We stayed in Trinidad North and always request Bldg 31 courtyard view, this is the same price as standard. I like the first floor, never had any bugs. It is great to walk out your door and have coffee at the tables. This is a smoking bldg. The bus circles around the resort and usually TN is next to the last stop. We only had to stand once and thats because we gave our seats to a women with 2 babies in her arms and an elderly woman. the buses were always quick max. 10 mins. The pool is not as themed as some other resorts but very kid freindly and comfortable. The landscaping can't be beat. Ask for a banana cabana at the poolside bar. It is not on their menu but it's great. I hope I have answered all questions. Have a great time. I already want to go back.

There is an internal shuttle which will take you around the resort. Depending on which way the bus comes in, is the order in which you will get out. Sometimes Jamaica was first, If you ask for express check out, you don't need to go back to the custom house unless you need a transfer to the airport. This is where they will pick you up.

kimmar067, no it does not take long to do the loop. I thought the food court has excellent choices. The caesar chicken salad with garlic twist is the best. The pizza is a little lacking but everything else we had was great.

Hi Sherrie, I live in Cromwell, not far from you. We are going Friday to CBR for eight days. I requested TN #31 also. Was it quiet there? Was the resort full? How was mousekeeping?

...sherrie, I can't wait to go....!!!!! (when will it get here???:( )

Countdown to WDW:
2 months - 10 days - 15 hours - 9 minutes - - Yippee!!!

mousekeeping was great the first and last days for us. the first (full) day we came back, we had a towel chick, bird and a crab waiting for us. the last night was so funny...we came back late, and we could tell the t.v. was on. we both looked at each other like "did you leave it on?" when we got in, all of the stuffed animals we had collected all week were watching the late show! they were all set up with pillows and looking at the t.v! so cute. in between, the room was clean, but some days i was a bit disappointed with the rushed job. must have been a different maid on duty. believe me, i was not expecting a surprise every night, but i do expect a certain degree of cleaning. i don't think our sheets were changed at all. overall, is was adequate. we will be back!

Mousekeeping was great. Every day they did something different. It was fun for the little one to go back and see what they did. It was very quiet, except for 2 mornings with a kid running up on the second floor back and forth for about an hour. i think he was training for the olympics. It is a truly beautiful resort. You will love it.

Get very, very close to our trip!!!! The four "villages" we are considering for our request are Martinque, Trinidad North, Jamaica, or Aruba. In your opinion, what building would you stay in and why? Things to consider would be a non-smoking building, no parking lot views, quick bus service, fairly quiet, fireworks viewing, proximity to food court, and any other reason you like the village. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks so much.

Trinidad North and Martinique are on either side of the pool and food court. TN, bldg 31 is the first bldg and is smoking. I believe bldg 32 is non smoking. Not sure on the Martinique side. the fireworks are seen between the food court and matrinique but the low ones are difficult to see. each village has it's own bus stop. TN is usually last but we never had any problems. Have a great time. Can't wait to go back.

We just got back from CBR (boohoo) and we loved it. We stayed in Barbados and were the first bus stop going to the parks so we always got a seat. It is a walk to Port Royale and the main pool but it's a beautiful walk around the lake. Mousekeeping was great. It was a quiet building with a nice patio. Have a great time.
