Just Back from BWV!!

Hi, just returned from a Pop Cent stay and a BWV stay.
Cast: DW, DS 16,DD 12, and 2 sets of friends.
Pop Century: Stayed at room 7206, over the Computer pool, it was nice, and
we went to Epcot to ride the "Soarin" ride. We got the DVC
annual passes for all, and the lady said she had to have "a picture
ID of
my son and daughter. I said she is only 12, and has no pic ID,
she kind of gave me a hard time, but she said OK after I had to
persuade her to give me the AP!! My son did not bring his
licence down, and also gave him a hard time. But, we got them
after about 10 min of convincing!!
On Friday night, went to Epcot, and on Sat went to Magic King.

Boy, was it crowded!! NO recession that I noticed!! We rode a lot of rides,and rode the "its a small world" refurbished. What a long line for that ride!

BWV: On sunday, got rooms 4115, 4113 for my friend which was a studio. We got the 1BR. I requested near my friend 11 mos out, and got RIGHT BESIDE HER!! Awesome! My other friends were a late addition, but got on the same floor we did, room 4057, also a studio.
Rooms 4115,4113 are GREAT for watching the epcot fireworks, as it is near the bridge to the entrance of BWV, and we saw them each night we were in the room!!!

Notes on BWV: Great welcome homes, friendly CM, and the valets are worth tipping, as I saw almost all of them RUN to get cars, so PLEASE tip them, they are NOT lazy at all!!

GOLF: played Palm course on Wed, a very challanging course, shot a 95, with 11 bogies and 1 par. We got thru a rain storm, but all in all a good place to play. Paid $58 with AP discount!

DDE: we got the DDE as soon as we got the AP, YOU MUST get the AP first and BEFORE 4 pm, and then you can walk/bus over to Epcot and get them. They (the DDE) will be avaliable after 5:30 pm. I got a letter stating that I had the DDE, and a list of rest. was included. All in all we saved about $50-70 dollars. After paying the $50 fee. We spent $225 at Flying fish, so there is $44 there!!

Eating: we ate at Flying fish *GREAT*, and at Spoodles (about $90). We also ate at POP cent. food court (2 times),ESPN club ($25), Bellvue lounge ($24),
We also tryed to eat at Narcosse's,but Disney dropped the ball on this one, as I had left me cell phone # for the manager to call (over 8 people you must call the rest directly), and they NEVER CALLED!! So, we ate at Spoodles instead.

The rain slowed us up very little, but the crowds were bad! Even with rain!!


Footnotes: At Pop, the lady next door, at 8am, yelled at my DD about slamming her door. We had adjoing rooms with our friends, and had the door handle out, and my DD opened the door too many times I guess. She said that the kids and her had a migraine, and to STOP SLAMMING THE DOOR!!
Funny, they checked out that day, and she seemed fine to me! I was gone to the car at the time and my DW said, take some Tylenol/pills to make it feel better. HAD I been there, I would have said other choice words. The kids were not loud at all (just woke up), but outside looking at the pool/weather, and shutting the door.

BWV vs; POP: A different breed of humans stay at Pop, a lot more incosiderate people compared to BWV.... JMO......

Can you tell us where you went to get your AP? There seems to be some places better than others and since so many of us buy AP's or are upgrading AP's, it's good information for the group here.

When I called to order my AP, I was told to redeem my voucher at Guest Relations at the front of Epcot, IF I was purchasing a DDE. I did purchase that also (although I did not receive it before my trip). So, when I went to redeem my AP voucher, they had a letter with my name already on it for the DDE. I guess you could redeem the AP voucher at other guest relations offices if you are not purchasing DDE.

We purchased our AP's at Downtown Disney before we went to POP. There was NO LINE, and it took only 10 min. LESS if the lady was not so adamant about the kids' ID's!!

Painless and easy!! LOVE saving $436 too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
