We are back from a week at BWV. We did online check-in arriving at noon and our room was ready!
We had put in a request for a refurbished room after seeing all the wonderful pics here, but the desk cm said he didn't know which rooms were or were not done yet. So we didn't get a refurb room, but I didn't care bc the location was great. Pool view on the 2nd floor just a short walk from the lobby. No elevators necessary.
Just some observations: The room was not cleaned very well. There was dust on the headboard, woodwork and especially the nightstand where the phonebook was. That had the biggest layer of dust ever. And there was hair on the bathroom floor and in the vanity drawer.
Also, we asked for an extra blanket and it didn't come after 1.5 hours and a second request. Finally dh walked down to the front desk to get it, at midnight. Not the disney service I have come to expect. I guess I have high expectation when I "go home", and I hope this is not what is to be in the future.
Having said all that, we loved BWV overall. It is all about location, location location. In fact, we loved it so much we came home and booked another trip there for February 2010.
