DH and I just got back from spending the weekend at BWV celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary. We stayed in a studio BW view room # 3029. It was a bit of a walk from the elevator, but not too bad. As we went to check in(it was about 10:30 am) there was no line at the front desk. The resort was dead! It was great. We were checked in and our room wasn't ready yet so we left our bags and headed to Epcot. Our room was ready at about 2pm. The view was great. Right over the clothing store. We could see Epcot too. The room was cleaned well and everything was in proper working order. The room showed lots of wear and tear and could use a rehab. The couch had stains all over it, the tiles were cracked in front of the kitchenette area, the vanity had chips, and dents. There was rust all around the handle bar in the shower and embedded dirt in the tiles on the floor. None of these things really bothered us and didn't affect our stay at all. It was just things we noticed. The TV was also so small and the balcony was filthy(the floor, railings had so much dirt all over). We did sit out there after cleaning the chairs ourselves. The weekend at the BW was great and the resort and pools weren't crowded at all. The location was great especially for July being able to walk to DHS and Epcot was great. When we went to the MK we walked through Epcot and then took the monorail. This never took long and there was never huge crowds on the monorail. I do have my issues with the resort, the rooms needing a rehab, and the lack of better CS options, but the location is hard to beat. We also love the atmosphere of the BW at night.

Let me know if you have any questions.
We also went to the Belvue lounge, Atlantic Dance Hall, and the BW bakery so if you have any questions about those let me know.

Thanks for the report - good to hear you enjoyed your stay.

Glad the things did no bother you too much and you had a good time, but I would be sure to report the broken tiles, embedded dirt and the rust! IMO, that really is not acceptable. I noticed the small tv's on our stay earlier this month at the VWL. Flat screen's have become the norm and it makes the small tv units seem antiquated! lol

How is Atlantic Dance Hall these days?

I went to the Atlantic Dance Hall during our June 12-20 trip and it was a ghost town. We stopped in around midnight and there were about 10 people in the whole place. The D.J. was playing nothing but "Ghetto" type music and only a couple of girls were dancing. We have heard that Disney is about to overhaul the place and change it into another type of night life spot soon after Pleasure Island closes its clubs in September.

Atlantic Dance Hall was really nice looking inside. Our babysitter will be getting married there(reception) in April so we wanted to check it out. There was about maybe 50 people in there from midnight to closing. They were playing music with the videos of the songs being shown on a huge screen on the stage. They played everything from AC/DC to Justin Timberlake. No "ghetto music". We didn't dance, just had some drinks. The bartenders were great and the drinks were strong. It looked like more people were going into Jellyrolls. We didn't go in. I think once the clubs at DtD close it will become more popular at Atlantic Dance Hall. I kind of like it the way it was, not rowdy and the BW wasn't overly crowded because of people going to the clubs.

I didn't report any of the things wrong with the room because we were trying to just enjoy our time alone without our kids!LOL;) I didn't want to take time away from our plans. I do believe that I read somewhere on the DIS that they are rehabbing the rooms at BWV anyway.

We did notice all the work being done on the Inn side of the resort. The new roof was being put on and it looks great.
