Hi! We just got back last night very late. I am exhausted so I will write more about my experience when my head clears. But I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at BWI Concierge. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the cast members at BWI concierge. They are truly wonderful, caring people who do their job so well. Disney is lucky to have them. They take care of their customers. The lounge is beautiful!:D Food was always well stocked, along with beverages. I just had a fabulous stay and highly recommend BWI concierge. We stayed in a deluxe concierge room and we are now spoiled for life. Next time we go back, it's the deluxe room for us.;)

Any questions? Please ask.

More details please. I was thinking about staying at BWI. How was the concierge? What kind of offerrings did they have? How was the transportation to MK,etc? What was the concierge deluxe like-was the room bigger? Sorry so may questions. I don't know that much about this resort.

This is exactly the kind of room I've been thinking about. When you're rested up I'd love to hear where your room was located, what kind of view you had and about the selections in the lounge.

Glad you had a great time :) Thanks again!

I'd also like to know about transportation. Was it crowded?? Long waits??? What were the food offerings like????

We have BWI concierge ressies in Oct. Do you remember your room #? Could you see firewords/laser show from Epcot or MK at night?
I have 3 kiddos, DS11, DD9, DS20mos. Any advice for a stay w/kids?
Thanks!!

Samnbilly, the food offerings consisted of a continental breakfast of danish and muffins from the Boardwalk Bakery, bagels, english muffins, breads for toasting, various fresh fruit, and an assortment of cereals. Beverages consisted of milk, chocolate milk, orange juice, apple juice, mineral water, coffee, and tea. Continental breakfast is a meal. It worked great for us because my family does not like eggs and we are light breakfast eaters even on vacation. Snacks were usually chips, pretzels, goldfish crackers, nuts, smartfood popcorn, dips and humus and bread that is meant for dipping. Beverages always available: soda, lemonade, iced tea, mineral water, coffee, tea. From 5-7pm they would put out one hot appetizer, which was a puff pastry kind of appetizer and other types of appetizers, along with cheese and crackers, and sliced fruit (lovely) and a vegetable tray along with wine. Evening desserts usually some small type of dessert: cheese cakes, peanutbutter/chocolate bites, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate chip cookies, brownies along with cordials. The food was basically the same all the time. We still went to dinner every night. For us, we liked the convience of concierge. Our room was a deluxe room and it was fantastic! We had room 4229 and the bathroom was not perfect, but it was still really nice. Our room had 2 queen beds, and a living room area that had a sleeper sofa with a tv armoire. There was also a tv in the sleeping area. We had a table with 2 chairs, and a coffee table in front of the sofa and another wicker chair with cushion. We are a family of four and loved this room. It gave us that extra space we needed. Transportation to MK needs to improved. Too many stops. We were always the last stop. BWI is first to be picked up, so you have all the other stops to make. Too much for a deluxe resort in my opinion. BWI is a wonderful place to stay. Just be ready for the transportation.

Ladytrampscampandangel, our room was 4229. We were very close to the lounge, we had a wonderful boardwalk view right above the boardwalk bakery. Our bathroom had some minor imperfections, but nothing to complain about. The deluxe room is fantastic. The extra space is so worth it! I was happy with the lounge. It was beautiful! The food offerings were suffiencient as I described above. I am so glad that we went with the deluxe room. It was very spacious. The Innkeeper's Club is a private, room card key access only part of the fourth floor. Top notch.

Twinglemum, the waits for buses were not long at all. The only downer was all the stops before BWI. Swan and Dolphin have it made. In my opinion, this is an area that needs improving. But we will continue to stay at BWI since it is such a wonderful resort.

ZuZugal, my room was 4229 right near the lounge. I think a concierge deluxe room is just what your family needs. You will appreciate the extra space. It is nice to have a place to sit down and watch tv that is not a bed. We could not really see Illluminations from our balcony, but you can see it from the concierge lounge really well. Our view of the Boardwalk was great. For a stay with kids, I would suggest the concierge level because of the convenience of the lounge and the beverages. Kids are always thirsty and your room comes with a refrigerator that you will need to ask the concierge for after you check in. If you call housekeeping yourself, they may give you a song and dance about it being $10 a night, but on concierge level it comes with your room.

Any other questions? I'm getting a second wind!

;)

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Back in June we were in room 3229 - also a deluxe concierge room. Not as convenient to the lounge (we had to go up a floor) but what a great room! With two kids ages 5 & 9 we were very thankful for the extra space - we could send them over to "their" side of the room to use "their" tv! :)

Right now we are trying to set up a vacation for November. We want to stay the first 3 nights at the Contemporary and then the last 5 nights at an EPCOT resort. We've been saying YC since we haven't been there for a while, but we really, really, REALLY like the Boardwalk now! :)
