Just back from BLT and few thoughts

Just unpacking from our first stay and a very good trip at BLT. What a beautiful resort and very clean and spacious. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with Me DW DD4 DD 5mos and had plenty of room. The room was clean and in great shape minus the dinnette table was destroyed, it had many burn and cut marks and was in terrible shape. Had a standard view which was of the pool and fine by us because we are not all about the views. Online check in was great bags and owners locker were in room after text at 130pm. BTW thanks to all who have owners locker we just got ours on this trip and what a greatly run business and great option for the frequent visitor. We thought the bus situation was going to be an issue but being a frequent traveler we go at our own pace set some ADR's and just hit the parks ad d what we can and want til we get tired and head back we dont ahve to try to get it all in so its a vacation and not a marathon. Never stayed at any of the monorail resorts but wow what a great advantage only having to use buses to go to 2 parks. Our favorite erk of BLT is the 10 min walk over to the magic kingdom, we never used the monorail to go there and loved the stroll. We used the pool one day which was very nice and empty. Our only other complaint is the strange schedule of the Top of the world lounge, the whole process is strange with having to be sent up and down. The attendant who we checked in with said they got multiple daily complaints about it and it has never had one day that the lounge has been to capacity and minus the first week has only crossed half capacity 4 times. We tried to go up for wishes and the woman was escorting a group up and gone for 5 minutes and than another 2 groups ahead of us she had to walk down and we waited another 5 minutes for her to send them up and come back and someone on the top was toying with elevator so we missed the beginning after arriving at 745 for the 8 show. Not a bg deal but has to be a better system than what they are using now. But loved BLT and cant wait to head back.

I'm glad you enjoyed your first BLT stay. We loved it, too.

That is a shame about the table. Some people are so thoughtless.

As for the checkin for TotW, I think you were unlucky in the CM that night. When we've gone up, the CMs have taken more than one group if necessary which is as it should be. Kind of like the limited access at California Grill.

Did the burns on the table look like they were from kettles, pots, etc or from something else? If from pots and pans, maybe they need to put the pot holders back in the kitchens.

You should really give yourself more time then 15 minutes. As you saw that is when most people go, and the elevator only holds so many. So then by the time you are up there it does not give you a lot of time to get yourself a drink before the fireworks start
