Just Back From Beach Club Villas!

We arrived home last night from another fantastic trip to Disney. Group was me, DH, DD (29) ans DS (26) - kids still love a family vaca in Disney. We had a 2 bedroom villa at the BC. Our villa was reserved through AAA with their discount since there were no other offers out there for our dates. We had a dedicated 2 bedroom that had a fantastic view of the villa pool. We had villa 234. It was one of the units that had the larger balconies off the second bedroom and because of that the second bedroom was also bigger. I know people have written that the villas are shabby - not this one (or the one we had last Aug.). The villa was in wonderful shape and the w/d was new and worked the best of any we have ever had at the BCVs or the BWVs. Daily housekeeping was great and the villa was always spotless and we had at least two towel animals every day. The locks on the doors have been changed (even since our June trip) to where you just tap your card on the mickey on the door and it unlocks - so much quicker and easier. The weather was typical Aug. weather - it rained about 4 each afternoon but it didn't interfere with our plans at all since we were usually in the villa showering after spending the afternoon at the pool and was done before we left for Epcot and dinner. We have been enough that we do a park in the morning and pool for the afternoon. We did the Wild African Trek and it was amazing, worth every dollar. We did the Behind the Seeds Tour before we left yesterday and it was fun and very informative. We had an absolutely wonderful trip and are sad to be home. Looking forward to our return in Jan for the marathon weekend. I'm doing my first 5K, DH is doing the half marathon and DD is doing the full marathon.

Love that your kids still want to travel to The World with you! I have every belief that we'll still be traveling down with our boys when they are in their 20's!!! I still have the DVC dream considering we visit every 12-18 months. Beach Club is definitely on our list!

Sounds like a wonderful time. Glad to hear the villas were in good shape. We bought a DVC resale at the Beach Club over the winter and will be going next month. Can't wait to check out our home resort.

Glad to hear you had such a good time. We'll be in the villas in a few days and can hardly wait. Last time we went the 4 of us squeezed into a studio, this time we opted for a 1 bedroom. My kids don't know, they think we'll be in a studio again. Good luck on your upcoming races!

You will never believe this but we checked into that same villa on the 16th and the room was ready a 2pm for four nites. I totally agree it was the best room we ever had (have been staying in 2 bdr for the past few years at BCV).The pool view was perfect and so convenient for our kids to run down to the quiet pool. The only down thing was the hot tub was not working for the duration of our stay...I usually look forward to that! We also had two towel animals every day, awesome housekeeping....spotless! The only problem the lock was broken in the studio part bathroom and maintainence fixed it immediately to get it to lock. We looooved the extra balcony space, just the couch had some spots on it from perhaps chocolate...dunno! Can't believe you had just checked out and we checked in early that a.m. and had a choice between 2nd fl pool view or 4th fl parking lot..Glad your stay was enjoyable! We loved it too!!!

anbouk - so glad you enjoyed the villa. The spa was broken when we were there also. We thought the view was wonderful and just loved the size of the balcony. The housekeeping was exceptional in this villa and she was there early in the morning so we never had to worry about the villa being ready when we came back from the park to enjoy the pool. Glad to hear you had a great trip. I will ask for the same villa when we go next Aug. - the one we have they year before was also great, just down the hall and still had a full view of the pool.
