I posted this on the Resorts board, but since I stayed at the BCV I thought you guys might be interested as well. Enjoy!

This trip was planned about two months in advance, so I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to rent points for a studio at the Beach Club Villas. This is my second time renting points through the Disboards and both times it has been a smooth transaction.

I checked in at about 4 PM and was asked if I had a preferrence of floors. I replied that I would like the room with the most plesant view, and I was assigned room 244. It had a nice view to the woods. The room was very clean and attractivly furnished. I was very happy with my accomedations.

I had never stayed at BCV before so I was anxoius to see how it compared to the Yacht Club. My first impression of the resort was that it was a good distance away from the rest of the hotel, but this feeling lessened as I became more familiar with the layout of the Villas. I also think I was a bit spoiled by my water view room right on the boardwalk at the YC last year. I really enjoyed all of the public spaces that the villas had to offer, the Solarium in particular was very inviting. I also loved having the Marketplace. I had a refillable mug and it was incredibly convenient to fill up my mug going to and from my room.

I didn't end up using either of the pools, although it was warm enough. But I can tell you from my YC stay that Storm Along Bay is fantastic! The quiet pool at the villas looked very nice too especially the jacuzzi.

Overall I was very pleased with the Beach Club Villas and I would gladly stay there again. I loved that it was close to Epcot and taking the boat to MGM, overall though I liked the Boardwalk Villas slightly better. I just liked that feeling of being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk. Let me know if I can answer any questions!

edited to add: There vere some minor issues with my room. The sliding door would not open and one of the lightbulbs was burnt out. Neither item bothered me at all, but I did make sure to let the front desk know about them when I checked out.

nice to hear a pleasant report. glad you had a good time. we will be at BCV in May for our 1st stay there. we own at BWV and love it and have stayed at OKW, SSR VWL and now BCV :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks for the report. Glad everything went smoothly for you. So back to BWV next time for you? Avoiding that hustle and bustle at the BW is exactly why we prefer BCV but it is so good to have options.

What day of the week did you check in? I think it is great that you had a choice of floors at 4pm!

I checked in on Tuesday, January 3. I know many people had to be back to work that day, so I think that might have had something to do with thw availability.

Thanks for the report. I am hoping to get a 2 bedroom at 7 months out for August. We will be traveling with my parents & nefew as well as my DH, DD & DS. The kids really want to try out the pools there.

Thanks for taking the time and telling us about your experiences with my "home" resort!
