Got back yesterday from 6 night at BCV with 27 extended family members in 6 different villas. We checked in around 5:00 on 6/12 and all villas were ready. We had intended on checking in around 2:00 and worried we wouldn't be able to get in our villas - but didn't make it that early. We had 2 - 2BR and 4 studios reserved. The only request was for the villas to be near each other. The best they could do was for all six to be on the same floor (2nd floor). I was a little disappointed in how spread out they were. Actually if the 2 - 2BR units had been close to each other - the rest wouldn't have mattered. But with so many different people involved - perhaps being spread apart was best!
As far as I know all rooms were in good working order - mine was! I was a little aggravated when two lamps in the master weren't working, until I realized that DH had unplugged them for his multitude of chargers & cords!!!!
Painting was happening all around the villas. There was a note that you may wish to draw your curtains during the day as someone may be painting your balcony area. To my knowledge, no one ever painted ours, but others in our group indicated they had noticed them from their rooms. The machinery used to lift the painters up to the balconies stayed around the villas our entire stay. It distracted from the view of the resort - but I know it had to be done.
SAB was great. They were always checking for room keys and giving out wrist bands during the daytime hours. After 5:00 - no one ever asked for identification. The slide was closed for part of one day due to a "bee situation". It was reopened the next day. On Thursday, 6/17, there was quite a storm and the pool remained closed much longer than I expected it would.
All in all, it was a nice stay. I thought the front desk staff was great (considering we had so many checking in at the same time), housekeeping was waiting for us to leave (at check-out) in the hallway outside our room, but didn't keep knocking or anything, room conditions were good, and resort in good shape. I can't wait to stay there again (but maybe with just my immediate family)
