We arrived home Friday night after four nights at BCV. We started our trip with 4 nights at the GF and although we had a nice stay there, it was so nice to move into our 2 BR. It was an accessible unit so we faced the pool which has not been my favorite view. However, that view has grown on me.:) It is lovely at night.

Our unit was very clean. The refrig wasn't working when we first got in but my husband turned it off and then back on and it kicked in.:confused3 There were a couple of minor things that needed to be addressed but not as many as in the accessible room we had at the GF. I have a new theory and that is that people who need accessible rooms are already dealing with so many major obstacles in their lives that they don't call about minor issues. But engineering came the next morning to fix the little problems. We asked for the morning not the first night as we were off to dinner.

My husband saw a guy with a bunch of bedspreads and asked him about it. He said they wash the bedspreads after each guest! Hooray!

We saw a guy driving a carpet cleaner....sort of like a mini Zamboni.

My sister will be relieved about the bedspreads. 20/20 did some story on hotel cleanliness or lack of it. Bedspreads featured prominently in the story. This was years ago and she still will not sit on a bedspread at a hotel, even in her clothes.

I didn't know Disney did this with the bedspreads. We just take them off and fold them up and off the the closet they go.

Same here.... first thing after unpacking.

Thanks to Op for the report. Glad you had a good stay.

I've got a couple questions since you just got back a couple days ago. We will be getting 2 studios in June for myself, DH and 3 teens. One of the teens will have to use a sleeper {they'll take turns since we'll be there a week} and am wondering if the new sofa mattresses are in the rooms yet? What do the new BCV mugs look like? Beaches and Cream still as good as ever? Can't wait to go back!

Our son used the sleeper in the living room and the mattress certainly didn't appear new as it dipped quite a bit! The sleeper in the studio part of our two bedroom was the original style and I've never been clear if they are changing the style or the whole sofa at BCV?:confused3 At any rate, we didn't open that sleeper.

I didn't see any mugs specific to BCV. The refillable ones appeared to be the same as in the past but we didn't buy them or any beverages at the Marketplace this trip. There were two styles of DVC mugs...the clear ones with blue lettering and the ceramic ones with the same image as the glicee print.

B&C was the same. We did enjoy it. But I was grossed out when a father and employee burst into the restaurant. Someone shouted manager and the father started shouting that his daughter had on a shirt and shoes and should be allowed to come in as they had lunch there everyday and that it was she always wore. She was allowed in and I found it gross. She was wearing a very short Tee and a very skimpy swimsuit bottom. She might as well have been wearing underwwear as far as I'm concerned. To think others would be sitting on that seat after her...yuck in my opinion. But I will acknowledge that I am old fashioned. And of course I probably would not have even noticed if the father hadn't entered yelling. Personally I think if you want to eat in a swimsuit, eat at Hannahs.:confused3 But the service there was both friendly and efficient as always.

I agree with all of you...it is very good to know about the bedspreads.:cool1:

Thanks for reporting, I did not know that about the bedspreads. I saw the same show on TV and have had the same feelings about them.

I wonder if that is something new with the bedspreads. When I requested a new one put on they did so saying that the spreads are changed every 3 months and the blankets every month. I was so grossed out!
