Just back from Bay Lake

I was very excited about staying at Bay Lake. When we got there everyone was wonderful. it is a very pretty resort but I must say for us it felt a little cold. Not homey.
We had a studio it was very small but that was no big deal. However I do not like having my bathroom vanity in my kitchenett. It felt wrong blow drying my hair where we prepare our food. DH loved the Flat Screen. And while the gate to the pool is broken from the beach entrance I do not see that many people will pool hop. There are much better pools.

Anouther thing that got me was there was no place to get anything to eat other than the main resort. How ever BCV are like that to and it is our favorite. We will stay at Bay Lake again in Dec. if we can not get TWL just for it's amazing view of MK. We watched the Fire Works from the lounge on top. However I am a big fan of seeing the fireworks appear behind the castle not to the side of it. The lounge was full and the people were wonderful.
We also stayed at WLV for the first time and LOVED it. Very Cozy hoping to get it for Dec.
I am sure many will Love the Bay Lake but it was just to cold for us.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves at BLT. We're trying it in January, but staying at VWL in December. Since you mentioned liking VWL I hope you get it too!

brought BLT because of being able to walk to MK - so definitely understand not sure about the modern feel of the place myself.

hoping in the next year it will grow on me.

I've tried all of the resorts at least once except for BLT & THV. Just like the Contemporary wasn't my favorite at Disney probably neither will BLT but I think one stay for the MK view and experience is in order.
