I have not one bad thing to say about Aulani.

My daughter has severe celiac and they bent over backwards to make sure the had gluten free non cross contaminated food to eat. The chef actually walked her through the buffet line and made her whatever she wanted in the back.

Food - I thought the food was good. The buffet for dinner was very good. Loved all you can eat crab lets and prime rib. We also ate at the cafe for breakfast which I thought was good. We bought the refillable mug and used it all the time. Tip - when the cafe closes there is another place to fill up your cup that is open 24/7 sadly we learned this the last day. The cafe closes really early. We did eat at the place near the Buffett and had great sliders and calamari. They also gave me free soda to fill my refillable cup.

Grounds - Beautiful. So much to do. We did not experience the chair issue mainly because we never sat around and did nothing. We just carried our towels and whatever we needed to our next spot. We did not swim the beach too much as we did not have time. Sadly we arrived 38 hours after we were suppose to because JetBlue cancelled our flight at the last minute after many many delays because of a mechanical issue. By time they cancelled flight is was too late and we missed our connection. Even sadder we had to buy another full set of airfare tickets to Hawaii on Hawaiian air because they don't cover mechanical issues with the insurance we bought. So we had to pay another $3000 and then lost a night at Aulani that we can't get our money back and rental car money. So anyway we lost two days at Aulani.

We were in a perfect spot. Our view was of the adult pool by the bar. Convenient to walk down the stairs and go to the cafe.

Used the washer and dryer a lot, loved it.

Loved the Koi ponds.

We did the luau and loved it. My kids are older 18 and 15 and had a great time with the activities. We did not do the VIP but sat right behind them. The only difference was they got a different necklace (Leigh) and drinks all night. After our first we just drank water. Though the food was good.

We did not do any activities as again we arrived two days late. We did talk to Aulani but they would. not help us out with the missed night said it was JetBlue's fault and they should pay us. From what I have heard JetBlue will do nothing for us because our connecting flight was not through them so basically they are saying its not their problem.

We went to Pearl Harbor, Hanama Bay, Waikki for surfing used Gone Surfing, Did Diamond head, went to the blow hole and north sure to jump off the work. Did a lot of snorkeling and had a blast.

Any questions please ask.

We just got back two days ago..had a lovely time...

Sorry to hear about your flight woes. That was aweful. I was a bit worried about that, because we also booked separate flights to/back from LAX then we had a whole separate itinerary for Hawaiian Airlines. I was so nervous about it that we stayed overnight in LA because spew arrived at night and there were no flights to HI at that time. ON the way back we had a 5 hour layover that was murder. But since we had to pick up our bags and switch terminals I didn't think we would make it. And I was right..when we arrived at United tix counters were closed and last flight was boarding.

We were in 556 in the Ewa tower. We had a view of the koi ponds and a portion of the lazy river
