After our 10th or so trip to wdw, several of which we've stayed in a suite at a All star music, for the first time I was disapointed. The room seemed dirty, though it was freshly painted with bright colours, it was very apparent that the edges weren't even taped, just seemed like no one really cared if the job was done right or not. Another little thing that bugged me was that starting our second morning for some reason the mousekeeper left the couch and chair open in bed form. We;ve never have that happen before, not fun walking into a living room with 6 of us having to close the beds up. Not a big deal so we thought we'd leave a note the next morning. The next day they were closed but she didn't take her tip. We thought maybe we had offended her, but since we left the note the day before, we figured we wouldn't do it again, as she would know to close them up. Sure enough, we got back and they were in bed mode...this happened on and off during the trip. It wasn't a huge deal either, but we clearly had cereal every morning, and several days we had to go to and get spoons and bowls, as they were not refilled. I'm not one to complain, so I would felt silly calling gs over a bowl/bed, but it got me thinking that I may want to try another resort next time, and that make sme sad as I love the option (for 6 of us) at a reasonable price. One last thing, we have never flown an American carrier (Canadian) so I called gs to ask about airline check in and was told since I wasn't using ME I couldn't leave my luggage, but they could give me boarding passes. The next morning when we checked out, I asked again after we had packed the rental with the luggage and was told that I sure could have checked the luggage in at the hotel and it didnt matter how I got to the airport...Still had an awesome time but looking into other options for 6 for next time...maybe deluxe.

Sorry to hear it didn't go well there... I have heard good things about Pop Century if you want to try Value again and AoA is brand spankin new! If I hadn't already made my ressie for ASMov, I might change it... I've stayed at Caribbean Beach which is a moderate I think and I love it. I think I have stayed there 4 times... I also stayed at GF once which was awesome. Stayed there with my parents a long time ago haha Couldn't afford it myself... Anyway, good luck next time!

It could have easily been more than one housekeeper; I never assume we'll have the same one twice in a row. If they need to know something, I'll leave that in a note every day. I also leave a note "for housekeeping" with my tip EVERY day.

There are plenty of people, I'm sure, who would be *annoyed* by having to pull out the chair/couch beds every day, FWIW. They can't win. :)

We just got back from a stay YC WV and had inconsistent Mousekeeping. We tipped every day, but got different levels of service. 1st day no toiletries, 2nd day no duvet covers and had to make three calls to get some delivered. 3rd day the 3rd duvet cover for the day bed was taken and never returned no matter how many calls we made.

The room was clean, vacuumed and the bathroom spotless every day, so I was ok with the rest of it.

I have done 2 connecting at Pop, we just preferred the feeling of a little "living room", which is why we like the suites. As for Aoa, we may try that in the future...would have switched for this trip, but couldn't transfer our discount.

Sry about ur stay but since u all been there before..what's the policy on tipping for the room?? I'm staying at ASMov w (hopefully) connected rooms?? Thanks! We r staying 8 nights!

Never stayed at the allstars, but I believe the general unofficial policy is to tip $1 per person in the room per day. If you have 2 rooms, leave separate tips for each room, they may very well be separate mousekeepers (last year at CBR we had 2 connected rooms and the mousekeeper stopped in to ask if we needed cleaning -(we were still in the room, and said no just towels) and then also told her she could do the same for our 2nd room it didnt need a full cleaning either, and she said that room was another mousekeepers).

we stayed in the Jazz section in a FS in January and I agree. the room seemed tired and the paint was shabby around the edges. it was OK and was good enough but not what I considered great any more.

we always closed up the beds before we went out and they were made and reclosed. did you leave yours open? If so then they may have thought that was your preference. some people don't like to come home late and have to open beds.

i don't know if we'll stay there again.
