I had a great time and was impressed with this resort. We just went for 2 days and did DTD and MK. Any questions let me know!

Welcome back! We've never stayed there but have walked around the resort, it's really cute.

Did you use the transportation, how was it?

Us too! We just got back from the AS Movies last night. We stayed in the Toy Story Woody building, how about you? We are tired from the trip home but are already planning the next trip!!! I'm even too tired to update my countdown clocks.

Transportation, used it some and had no problems. Any specific questions?

AllStar Movies was my favorite one of all the values, followed by POP as a close second.

We are going at the end of this month to ASMo and I was wondering if anyone got towel animals. I see all the posts about the towel animals but they all seem to be from the mods or deluxe resorts. I'm just wondering if we will get them at a value resort. Thanks.

housekeeping takes your towels and makes cute animals out of them and leaves them on your bed or whatever for the kids. If you go back a couple pages there is a thread about them with some pictures. It was titled something like what is the favorite towel animal you ever recieved. I'd link it for you but I am not that computer literate. Sorry.

Well to answer your original question about getting towel animals at the All Star, we have stayed there on seven trips and never had a towel animal.

Hey, those expensive resorts don't have a 50 foot tall Buzz, Woody, Dalmations, broomsticks and other icons.

On a serious note, I will always remember from my trip this past weekend, my 3 month old twins were just mesmerized by the Buzz & Woody poster in the room. We would lay them on the bed next to the poster and they would laugh, giggle and talk to the poster. My son could not keep his eyes off of it. When we carried him around he would look around until he found the poster.

I am so excited about this resort even without towel animals. When I first started looking at disney hotels for our trip I went to the disney official website and without knowing anything about the hotels and prices this is the one we wanted. It just screams disney and when I found out it was a value. Well that just gave us more reason to stay there. This will be our first trip and I know we will have a blast.

We stayed there in June--we loved it. I found the transportation to be very good--I never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. They were crowded, but that's to be expected in June. We were in the Herbie building, but we would walk over to "Andy's Room" and the kids would play there. We've got some great pictures!

We were in the Buzz building from 10/2 - 10/9. It was PERFECT for us, because my DS3 adores Toy Story. We had requested to be in one of the Toy Story buildings and were so excited when our request was granted.

While we did not get a towel animal, housekeeping was very creative with my kids' "babies." We found DS's Woody in a saddle made with the sheer drapes in the window one day. Another day, they made an angel out of DD's baby doll and blanket. My kids couldn't wait to see where their babies were when they got back to the room.

We used the bus system exclusively during our stay and found it to be extremely efficient. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. Most often, there was one waiting for us! Most of the time, we had a bus exclusively for Movies. Sometimes, however, we had to share with the other two All Stars.

We stayed there in March & couldn't have been happier. We had a wonderful CM check us in at ASMo. We had 3 rooms reserved & had made 3 requests...all rooms non-smoking, rooms on an upper floor, rooms close together if possible. The CM checked the computer & said let me see what I can do. He kept tappings keys & coming up with options. After offering each one, we would say that's fine. He would reply, "I think I can do better." He was not satisfied & did not stop until he had filled every request! I can't say enough good things about this young man...he was everything you'd hope a CM would be & then some.

We all thanked him & told him how much we appreciated his efforts. I told the CM I would like to speak to his supervisor & let him know how nice we had been treated. The supervisor was not available then but I kept checking back at guest services each day until I finally was able to talk with a supervisor. When I began telling him what a great CM we had & all he had done, the supervisor took hold of both my hands & kept holding them during the entire conversation. He had this huge smile on his face & kept telling me how much he appreciated me making an effort to see him. I got the feeling he was used to mostly being asked for when someone had a complaint so I guess it was a different experience to hear only nice things. When I called to make my December ressies I asked to be transferred to the customer comment line & left a message complimenting the CM (by name) again as well as the one who had just helped me on the phone. I hope Matthew got some recognition in some way because he absolutely deserved it. We are trying POP on our next trip & hope our experience there is just as good. Maybe we'll be lucky & "our" CM will have been transferred there! :teeth: (sorry for the long post!)

No problems with the bus system for us. No long waits & we always got a seat.

Great to hear such positive reviews. We are staying at ASMo first time in Dec. and was just wondering what brand and/or quality are the in room shampoo/conditioner/soap?

Also, has anyone shopped in WDW and had their purchases delivered directly to ASMo? If so, how long does it usually take to get the purchases from the WDW shops to the ASMo gift shop to pick up?

I have also ordered items from a store in DTD (kids names badges) to be sent over to the ASMo gift shop (for us to pick up after we check in). Has anyone ever ordered items before their holiday and if so, were they waiting for you at the gift shop at ASMo?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated?

The showers in the ASMo have a shampoo/body wash dispenser. DH used those all of the time, but I knew from our last trip that I didn't care for the shampoo. So I took my own shampoo and a bar of soap. It's hard for the kids to reach the dispenser when they're taking baths. I thought the body wash smelled good, though.

I often have purchases from the parks or DTD delivered to the gift shop at the ASMo. It usually takes until after noon the next day. At one of the MK kiosks outside the Buzz Lightyear ride, the CM told me it would take 2 days for my package to arrive at the hotel. It wasn't a big deal for me, as those were Christmas presents anyway. Purchases I made at DTD and MGM were delivered the next day. I would have a message on my room phone telling me that my packages had arrived.

I have never ordered anything before we arrived, so I can't be of any help there.

Have a wonderful trip! I hope you have a magical experience at the All Star Movies!

Does anyone know how far the walk is from the Parking Lot to whichever Bldg. that you are staying in? We have never been to ASMo , but are considering it. Thanks.

Actually, we have stayed at Movies 3 times and got towel animals at least once each trip. We stayed at Pop Century June '04 and mousekeeping made animals there. too.

As for the parking lots, the walk is not that far since each building has a lot assigned to it.

Just an FYI, if you stay in the Mighty Ducks buildings, it is closer to walk to the bus stop at ASMusic than Movies.

Trying Coronado Springs for the first time this Thanksgiving.
