From what I remember the self embark was close to 730 am when it began. We were the second or third luggage tags called and that was between 8:15-8:30. We took a DCL bus to the airport ( took about 45 minutes) and we were there pretty close to 10 am. I read that you should allow for a minimum of three hours for customs and security in Vancouver so I would say anything after 1 pm should be safe.

We were allowing about 2.5 hours for all those steps, so we busted out with the first wave of the walk-off crowd at 7:30 AM in Vancouver. Of course, having allowed plenty of time it took us only about 45 minutes total to blow through port customs and taxicab it to the airport. We had to wait at the United counter because we were too early to even check our bags for our 11:00 AM flight. Typical travel luck. If we had tried to relax and take our time a little, I'm sure everything would have gone as slowly as a funeral procession. Oh ... and go to work time in Vancouver seems to be 9AM. There was next to no traffic leaving Canada Place at 7:45.
