Thanks for the info. I sure hope that permit comes in before we arrive! When I spoke to a worker at the resort about a month ago, they informed me that the slide and lazy river closed at dark. I guess they were not well informed.

Speaking of not being well informed... if you go anytime soon just remember that the resort just opened. Everything is a little slow, and if you have any questions, sometimes you feel like you know more about the resort than the employess. That being said, I must say that everyone was really nice, and tried to help, but it was obvious that they are all trying to learn their jobs. For example, the first night about 6:30 we called houskeeping because when I was getting ready to put my kids to bed I notices that one of the pillows did not have a pillow case on it. The person on the other end said Oh... long pause.... Houskeeping is closed call back tomorrow. Not a big deal, but a resort of this size and you can't get a pillow case at 6:30. Also the pool bar, (I will try to write a report about it tomorrow) was not yet set up to let you charge to your room. It was kind of a pain to always have to bring cash to the pool, but yet again no big deal. Just little things that they are working out. Speaking of bringing cash to the pool, I just wanted to let everyone know that the rooms do not have safes in them. Is it just me, wouldn't you think a new resort would have safes in them? We called down the first night thinking that we just could not find it, but no. Also we were told that the front desk did not offer a safe to use there either. Although the place seemed really safe, we always like to lock up our plane tickets, wallets and camera when we are not in the room.

Were there salt and pepper in the kic? I am gathering up condiments for our trip and wondered if I need to gather these too.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I will try to finish up on all of my reports. If you have any more questions just ask.
Data Ports. I really have no idea. We did not need one, so we didn't look for one. Sorry.

Childrens Play Center:
This is huge. It is located inside down past the lobby to the left. Across the hall is the Ron Jon Store, and straight back is the entrance to the pool. The play center is located in its own room, and the actuall play area is all enclosed by mesh and everything is padded. They have slides, rope climbs, tunnels, just alot of fun stuff. The kids were entertained for hours. It is very safe even for really young ones. At the far end of the room they have an area that is for arts and crafts. The hotel offers a youth program for ages 5-15. They have 2 to 3 activities every day that you have to sign up for. For example they have, Making Picture Frames, Hula Hoop Fun, Animal Picture painting, Storytime, Tye-Dying($8 without shirt, $5. with own shirt), and Shell Mosaics. Right next to the area of the crafts, they have bathrooms, then next to that is a door that says, PenPals. This is the babysitting service. It is a seperate room that is connected into the play center. $8. per hour for 1 child, $9. per hour for 2, and $10. per hour for 3 children. Ages 0-12 years old, 24 hour advance reservations. Open 9-5. We did not use the service, but would have no problem using it. The door to penpals was always open, so you could look in and see what was going on, and also they had a window in the outside hallway that kind of looked like a take out window that was open, so you could look in and see. You could see the girls taking care of the children always alternating the kids playing in the center, with quiet activities in the penpal room. It looked very orginized. We would have liked to have it open in the evening, then we might have used it.
Hotel Restaurant: Reefside Grill
It is true that the restaurant is not open for Breakfast. It is only open for lunch and dinner. We ate at here twice for lunch. You can see the menu hanging outside the door to the restaurant. The menu is the same menu that they serve at the pool bar, and out by the pool. For lunch you have many choices where to eat. You can eat inside at the restaurant, you can eat outside of the restaurant which is right next to the pool bar. If you choose to eat here, you get table service. Next you can order the food at the pool bar, and then either eat it at the pool bar tables, or alot of people were just taking it back to their chairs at the pool. If you order at the Pool bar, the food comes in take out containers. We found the food to be very good, and lots of it. The first day I ordered a steak sub. It came on a sub roll about 8 inches long with melted swiss cheese, pepers and onions. On all of the adult meals you have a choice of regular steak fries, or sweet potato fries. I choose the steak fries, and they were very good. The price was $7.29. Well worth it. My husband got the ruban(sp?). It was very big, and he said it was very good. I'm not sure how much it cost, but I know it was less than mine. About $6 something. I was very impressed with the kids menu. They offered Pizza, Spag. and meat balls, grill cheese, chicken fingers and I think a cheeseburger. I should have written sooner, I'm already strarting to forget. The Cheese pizza was $4.50 and the Chicken and grill cheese was $3.99. The best part was that the kids could choose from either french fries, or a bowl of fresh fruit. Fresh fruit on a kids menu...Yeah. finally somthing healthy. My kids got the fruit, and it came in a good size bowl with lots of grapes, pinapple, apple pieces and mellon. The kids meals also came with a cookie. FYI Be very careful. My sons meal came out with a big Peanut Butter cookie with lots of peanuts baked in the top. He is not allergic, but has a very strong reaction if he eats peanuts or peanutbutter. We told the server, and he came back with a ch. chip cookie for him. I was surprised that they would serve peanut butter on a kids menu with all of the kids would can not have peanut butter, so just be aware if this is a problem. They do have other options. On our second visit, my husband got the ruban again, my son the cheese pizza, my daughter the chicken fingers, and I got the Penne pasta. My meal was very large and very good. It was $10.99 and came in a light cream sauce with 3 cheesed and lots of tomato. Would have been a great dinner entree, but I was dying to try it. One other thing that I wanted to mention is that the kids menu also offered carrots and Celery with ranch dressing for $1.99. This was a great snack out by the pool, and 1 order was enough for the 4 of us. Other things on the menu were sandwiches, salads, pasta, soup and desserts. There were some entree that were only available for dinner. We did not eat here for dinner, so I can not comment.
