This is my second stay at the Allstar Music, my first since the renovations and I really love this resort!!!
The beds were sooo comfortable, and the new carpet and drapes were very nice.
We stayed in Calypso, and even though the resort is small I thought paying the extra $$ for a preferred location was well worth it. We had 3 rooms, 2 faced away from the pool and my brothers faced the pool..he sleeps like a rock so the noise from the pool area did not bother him.
The were doing the movies at night at the pool, they had dance parties each night as well and during the day they had things going on too. I thought this was a great idea, and I am going to send a letter to the manager at the resort to let him know how much we enjoyed these activities.
The food court was not too crowded if you got there around 7:30 for breakfast, but 2 days we slept in, and got there around 10:00 and WOW what a difference, the place was chaos. We did like the food and were happy with the choices available.
I had a connecting room, but really did not hear much noise from my neighbors. Once in awhile you could hear the toilets flush but it really was
not bad.
My one and only complaint..and it is a minor one, it the people in the room behind me, I guess our sink areas were back to back. Well they would turn their water on and off quite a lot. A few nights it was around midnight and it would start, on and off, short spurts and then some long ones. And then again in the mornings. It got annoying by the end of the week. In the morning I would let my fan run in the bathroom to try and mask the "water noise". Hopefully my fan noise did not annoy my neighbors.
I am staying at the ASMU again in December and I really am looking forward to another stay there.
