We just returned from 4 nights in a cabin. They were very cozy and clean. There was 6 of us ,me, dh ,dd 17,ds 5,ds 4, and nana. Transportation to the MK was great, the bus system worked out good for the animal kingdom, these were the only parks we visited while at this resort. We rented a 6 passenger golf cart so getting around the grounds was easy. The lake was awesome for watching the electrical water pagent and for watching the fireworks from the MK. We went to Chip n' Dales campfire but didn't stay very long we found it to be boring. The next 6 days of our trip we spent over at OKW in 2 studios. This resort is our favorite! Buses were steady and the drivers were friendly. Actually we even found all cast members to be in good spirits. I have to say this past trip was one if not the best Disney trip we've had! Oh the parks were not at all crowded so getting around was terrific. Viewing the parades were fairly easy which was a special treat for us because my sons couldn't get enough of them.

This is the exact same combination of resorts we were planning for next May-FW Cabins and OKW. Only difference is we're planning OKW first. How did you find the comparison between the 2 resorts? Do you think it will make a big difference that we're doing OKW first, then FW?

The ferry was fast and fun to take to the Mk so if possible save your time at FW to do the Mk for the parades, spectro magic and the water pagent. Try to do your laundry at OKW before you leave because because it's free there and at FW it cost $2.00 a load for a wash and about $1.50 to dry. We had a golf cart so we never used the internal bus system at FW but the buses we did use to go to the animal kingdom were never full and we never waited more than 10 mins. OKW is very relaxing. I was glad to have a change of resorts in the middle of our stay it was like having 2 vacations in one. At OKW we choose to do Epcot and MGM. We kind of divided parks with resorts and that worked well for us. You will love both no matter which one you stay at first they are two totally different atmospheres and I certainly feel I got our monies worth.

Looks like another OKW lover is born! :) It's my favorite resort also. ;) Try a 2 bedroom villa next time... it's AWESOME! :)

I finally got to take a peek at the 1 and 2 bdrms and do think that this would probably be the last time in a studio. What a difference!

Thanks for the tip about the laundry. I would have forgotten. And now I'm really excited! Our last trip to OKW was a studio and we loved it. Next trip is a 2-BR, and everyone I've heard says the 2-BR is really beautiful!

Could you let me know how much more the 6 passenger golf cart is. We are a family of 5 and I feel cramped in the smaller one would like to try for the bigger one in December.

We're staying one night at FW Cabins before moving over to YC. Do they still have he outdoor movie? It was really fun the last time we went.

There is only 1 6 pass. golf cart so reserve early. It cost $63.00 per day. They did have nightly movies scheduled for the whole month of October.

Yes - they show movies every night! The campfire program starts at 7:00 in the winter, and 8:00 in the summer!
