Well, just got back late last night from a stay at the WL CL. We were there from Saturday Dec 8-13 and let me tell you, it keeps getting better and better!!:goodvibes We had the best room!!! It was room 7035 and is located right next to the Yosemite Suite (VP Suite) on the north side of the lodge. It was like we had our own wing all to ourselves because the Yosemite Suite and our room are the only 2 rooms there. The view was of the pool and Bay Lake and right outside our room were windows that I could open at night and pull up a chair and watch Wishes! It was awesome!!!:woohoo:
I think my husband said the word "excellent" about 25 times when the bellman took us to our room. And when he saw the WL chocolate canoe on our bed with a welcome letter, I thought he was going to cry!! (We had seen pics of it on the DIS)
The mousekeeping was excellent every day. The CM on the CL were amazing as usual. I think my husband is now BFF with a couple of them.:lmao: And of course the WL looks amazing with all the holiday decorations!!
Thetransportation was perfect!! They do now have a direct boat from the WL to the MK and it took about 5 minutes to get there. The busses too were awesome. We didn't share a bus with anybody, but we only went to MGM and EPCOT so I am not sure about DTD or AK. The worst transportation this time was the monorail!! We were meeting MIL and SIL at the Poly one night, so we took the boat to the MK (5 minute ride) and then the monorail to the Poly from the MK. It took 20 minutes to get from MK to the Poly!!

This was our 6th stay at the WL since May 2005 (4th stay CL) and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else!!!:cloud9:
If anybody has any questions, feel free to ask!!;)

Thank you so much for posting. We are staying at the WL CL in late January (our first concierge at WDW) and simply can't wait. You just don't read much about the WL concierge rooms or lounge here for some reason.

What were the snack and drinks in the lounge?

How did you let them know that you were concierge - so they could take you upstairs to check in?

Was your room ready when you got there?

THANKS AGAIN!

Yet another happy family who stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. I'm really glad to hear that the trip worked out! :)

Dodie- Sorry it took me so long to respond to your questions about the lounge. Anyways...here you go.
Breakfast-same thing everyday
Apple, Orange and cranberry juice (they also had little cans of tomato juice)
Milk (Whole, 1% and Skim) and chocolate milk
4 different cereals (Cheerios, Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran and Frosted Flakes)
Watermelon,cantelope,honeydew,pineapple, apples, bananas and oranges
Yogurt(2 or 3 kinds)
Variety of bagels
Danishes
Chocolate/choc chip muffins and blueberry muffins
Coffee (they also had 4 different flavorings for the coffee. I think they were Hazelnut, Gingerbread Spice, Swiss Chocolate and Vanilla)
Huge variety of teas (must have been about 10 kinds)
cappacino machine (Yummmo cafe mochas!!!)

Snacks same thing everyday
Goldfish
Pretzels
Mixed nuts
Gummi Bears
Apples, oranges and bananas
Sugar and chocolate chip cookies
Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and apple juice boxes
Lemonade, Ice Tea and Cranberry Juice
Coffee and Teas
Cappacino machine (again Cafe Mochas!!)

For the evenings there was always assorted crackers and cheese, veggies and dip, pb&j uncrustables and the best bread with some type of spread (usually roasted red pepper dip) Also, there were the sodas, milks, coffees, teas, water. There were 4 different types of wines and 4 or 5 types of beer also.
On Saturday evening the hot dishes were Vegetable Soup and Sausage with peppers.
Sunday evening it was Chicken Soup and Pork Tenderloin with Cabbage(kida like a saurkraut)
Monday evening it was Clam Chowder and Chicken Breast with mashed potatoes and a sauce that was kida like a creamy roasted red pepper sauce (It was so so yummy!!)
Tuesday evening, it was Corn Chowder and Beef Stroganoff.
Wednesday was Minestrone Soup and Buffalo Chili.

In the evening for the desserts, there were chocolate covered brownies, magic bars, sugar and choc chip cookies and a cobbler. It would be berry one night, then apple the next. All the regualr beverages were out along with the 4 types of wine and 4 different types of cordials.

When we arrived on Saturday, we actually came over from EPCOT on the bus because we had arrived on Friday night and stayed somewhere else, so we just went up to a bellman and told them we were checking in to the CL and they called up there and had a bellman bring us on up. Our room was ready at that point (it was around 1:00pm) So he took us to our room and when we got settled, we went back to the desk and checked in.
It was great and we LOVED every minute of it!!! This is our 4th CL stay out of the 6 stays at the WL and I think we have become spoiled and won't be able to stay there any other way!!!

I will try to post some pics this weekend, if I can figure it out!!!
Hope that helps!!!

Yay! We just stayed CL at WL too: 12/2-12/4. We did a split stay with WL and BWV.

We, too, loved it and loved the way we felt "private" up on that floor. You saw the same people at breakfast and the same CM's at the desk when you left and returned. It felt more like a B&B experience!!!

We're kind of sold now on staying CL and thought we'd NEVER do it!

Our check in was almost identical to the OP's! Told our bellman we were checking in CL, he took us up, our room was ready, we unpacked and then went back to check-in. One thing lacking: we didn't get a check-in packet. You know, the one w/all the maps and such??? Weird. We did get the chocolate canoe and chocolates at turn-down!

We're going back in June and going to try BWI CL and probably again in December '08 and are thinking of trying CR CL. Just want to spread the love!!!
