Hello all, we are back home from a 9 night stay at SOG. I will be posting a detailed dining report later, but for now this is where we ate and I would be glad to answer any questions:

Evergreen's at SOG
Coral Reef
Cinderella's Royal Table(B)
Peco's Bill
Sunshine Seasons
Typhoon Tilly's
Kona Cafe(D)
Tusker House(B)
O'hana(D)
Le Cellier
Sci-Fi
Beaches and Cream
Earl of Sandwich
Whispering Canyon(L)
Lottawatta Lodge
Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station

I hope you had a great trip. We are leaving in less than 12 hours - WooHoo...

A few questions:

How were the crowds?
Any surprises (short wait/too long wait/ride shut down?)
How was O'hana & LeCellier? There have been so many mixed reviews.

brutus-This was our first trip in the summer months, so to us it seemed pretty crowded. However, we were able to get most of the big rides done early in the mornings with no long waits.
-No real surprises to reports
-We loved O'hana. No problems as far as we were concerned with the new menu items. Still our favorite place to eat. Le Cellier was great also. Food and service was as good as it has been on previous visits.

Were there any long waits for your ADR's after you checked in?

For all of our ADR's, we were seated either on time or even early. We always checked in about 10-15 minutes early and were seated promptly.

Hi...Could you tell me about Coral Reef? How did your kids like it? We have one more rest. to pick for an upcoming trip and we are debating over this one. Thanks

cherokeemamma, we really enjoyed Coral Reef. Initially, it was not one of our choices, but my brother really wanted to try it. I was skeptical based on how many so-so reviews I had read and the somewhat limited menu. It turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. Food and service was great, we loved everything we tried. The kids had a blast, as the waiter gave them a guide to the fish in the tank, so they kept busy trying to ID all the fish as they swam by. There was standard kids type items(DD had the pizza) and the kids catch of the day(Mahi Mahi which my son loved). Only thing I cannot report on were the desserts as we were too full from appetizers, bread, and the entrees. I believe we will return on our next trip.

Sunshine Seasons: What entrees and sides can you order at the Asian section? Thanks

Hope you had a wonderful adventure! :wizard: Tell us about the breakfast at Tusker House, please! Food? Atmosphere? Coffee?! Thanks!

baileybelle: I am sorry but I did not eat at Sunshine Seasons, but my wife did. She says it was pretty limited, with entrees of sweet and sour chicken or beef and broccoli, sides of either noodles or rice, and then stir fty veggies. She said the food was good, just not a lot of choice.

lynninpa: for breakfast our group orders included the Breakfast plate, which had scrambled eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit. It was a very nice sized plate with a lot of food for the money($5.50) The kids went with the cereal and milk(Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes). The others tried the biscuits and gravy and the yogurt and fruit. Everybody enjoyed the food, and the service was nice and quick. Sorry, buy no one got any coffee.

Thanks for the reply about breakfast at the Tusker House!!:thumbsup2

Can you tell me if you liked the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station and which one did you order?? DD is a noodle freak!!! :teeth:

Thanks!! :goodvibes

Bunchkin: our first attempt to try the Noodle Station was unsuccessful as apparently it is only open during the evening from 5-9pm. However, we did make it back and were surprisingly pleased. My mom and I both had the Chicken Noodle bowl, which of course was full of noodles in a light broth with lots of crisp veggies and chicken. We both it enjoyed it very much. My wife went with the Teriyaki Chicken which came with white rice. Again lots of chicken and veggies. Now, was it great food? Probably not for some people, but it was very good in my opinion and definitely beat eating another counter service meal of burgers and fries. I would definitely go back again.

Coral Reef has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but I noticed that it no longer has lobster tail on the standard menu. Could you tell me if they had a "specials" menu as well that might have offered this, or did you see it on the regular menu when you went, if you happen to remember?

If you had to choose between Coral Reef and Le Cellier, which one would it be? We are trying to decide between these two for our upcoming trip. Thanks.

BlindTyldak-I know the waiter went over some specials, but none of them for that day were lobster, and there was no lobster on the menu. Sorry.

lizardqueen-We have done Le Cellier several times, and have never been disappointed. This was our first time at Coral Reef and we loved it. If I had to choose right now, I would go with Coral Reef if only because I would like to experience it again.

:thumbsup2 So happy you had a great trip :cool1:
TAKE CARE and GOD BLESS
