Just back from 8 days of disney............

We just arrived last night at 12. We are all very tired from our trip. We enjoyed our time at Disney but we are glad to be back at home. It was very hot and crowed. We managed to get all the attractions we wanted to do by taking advantage of the early extra hours, evenings were very crowded. If you have any questions I will try to answer them as best as I can.

Hopefully the crowds will all leave between now and Aug 26th! Yeah right! Glad to hear you had a great time! I am hoping we can ride all the rides (minus the ones they shut down ) that we want to without waiting in 2 hour lines!

Hi,

How long did you have to wait for rides on average? What seemed to be the most popular ride at each park? Any advice you could give for a not so new, but not completely a veteran? Thanks!

We stayed at Pop,our first room the carpet was flooded and smelled very funky. They quickly changed our rooms with no problem we were in the 50 close to the main enterance and buses. We liked it but it was way more croweded than the all stars. If there is a next time I would consider booking a moderate.
Our best day was Thursday we got at MK at rope drop(EMH), rode Space moutain no wait, the girls rode dumbo then we went to a small world. We then went to fronter land got fast passes for splash Mountain and got on Big thunder mountain with 5 minute wait.We ate lunch and went to our hotel for our daily afternoon nap. Taking a mid-day break is very important even if you don't have young kids my 13 DD even appreciated. THe heat was very overwhealming. We will never do Disney in AUgust again....
The most we waited was 40 minutes to get on the safari ride in Animal Kingdom. We are glad we did the trip, we got disney out of our system for a few more years. Next trip we're planing to relax on a beach somewhere...

Glad to hear you had fun! Sounds like you should have spent more time hanging out and relaxing at the pool! We stayed at the Pop on our last trip and will never again! We wanted to see what the buzz was all about. We were miserable! It was crowded and loud! At the moderates and deluxes, it 's like themed vacation within a vacation. You can actually get some peace and quiet. Most have beaches you can hang out at and chill!

I'd say, try it again and skip the moderates and plan more downtime!
