Any questions that I can answer for anyone ?

We were a party of 5, connecting secret porthole rooms 5022/5024, 2 DD's (9 and 6), dining rotation was TAPT.

Yes, what movies are showing? :) Esp. want to know if Signs was showing?

Also, where did they take Palo ressies? (if you went to Palo)

Thanks!

Denise

Hi Denise -

Yes, Signs was showing as a special new release movie on our cruise. I'm not sure if it was every night, but I know it was shown the last night at around 10:00/10:30 PM. Our table mates went and said it was very good and kind of scary. The rest of the movies were:
Lilo & Stitch, Monsters, Country Bears, The Rookie, Snow Dogs, Return to Neverland, Bad Company, The Emperor's New Groove, and Reign of Fire.

Palo reservations were taken at WaveBands, deck 3 forward, at 1:30 until 3:30. We did not make our reservations at that time as we were not sure if our girls would be comfortable in the clubs. We pretty much took the wait and see what happens approach. Well they ended up loving it, and I called at about 4PM on our 3rd night to see if they had any availability and we were given a table at 6PM that night. Worked out great for us. There were plenty of empty tables when we were there - they did mention on the recording when I called the restaurant that there was no availabilty for the last night of the cruise.

Dinner at Palos was everything everyone says it is - spectacular!!
I'm so glad we decided to do it. We had Stephanie from France as our server and she was outstanding. Go for the chocolate souffle !!!

We also did the Wine Tasting at Palo on the last day and enjoyed that very much.

Anything else, please let me know ! ;) Cindy

Isn't the 4 day a wonderful trip. I miss it so much. Just wondering if Whitney Houston was aboard. Rumor had it that she was going to be cruising.

Kathleen -

Oh, the cruise was so wonderful !!! I can't wait to go again ... hopefully a 7 day in 2003, God willing.

If Whitney Houston was on board, I didn't notice her. That would have been pretty cool ! My husband did recognize an NFL football player on board - I have no idea who it was but I could ask DH if anyone is interested ! :D Cindy

Thank you Cindy! Who were your regular servers & what were they like?

Denise

DVCindy,

We have secret porthole room #5022 for our up coming 4 day wonder cruise on 9/8/02. How was the secret porthole room? We are really looking forward to seeing it! Also, who was the captain and cruise director on your cruise? Which dinner rotation did you get? One last question, I promise....did you go to dueling piano's & If so, who were the players? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks in advance!

Hi Denise -

Our regular servers were Dave from Jamaica and Stanya from Bulgaria. Dave was very nice - I pretty much went with all his recommendations for dinner and all my meals were very good. My 6 year old dd really took a liking to him - he was very good to the kids. He didn't do anything that I would consider extra special, however, like some poeple say about their servers.
Stanya was brand new to the ship - it was her third week on board. She was very sweet and tried very hard but she seemed very overwhelmed at times. I'm sure with time she will improve - she really did try hard to please us and our dd's.

Anything else ? ;) Cindy

Hi Disneychic -

5022 and 5024 were great !!! I am sure we have been spoiled for future trips !! 5022 had the better view at first, but during our day in Nassau some workers moved some of the barrels that were in front of 5024 and that view was just as nice for the rest of the trip. Really, the view from 5022 has very little obstruction. There were workers outside on several occasions, though, so pull the curtains when you are dressing, etc. to be safe. As far as the room itself, we were really surprised at how comfortable we were. Whoever designed those rooms did a great job - very efficient use of space. The beds were very comfortable, too. The location was fantastic - we never heard any noise from anywhere ! We even took a few power naps in the late afternoon and never heard a thing.

The cruise director was Rachel - she was great ! I wish I had her energy. The captain was Captain John. We went to the captain's corner in the theatre on our sea day and really enjoyed it - some fun facts about the ship, etc.

We had TAPT. I was surprised by that since we had a 6 & 9 year old with us. We actually ended up changing our dining time from the early seating to late. I felt like we would be rushing too much to make the early seating - we try to take a nap before dinner so the kids will have some extra steam to enjoy the later evening activities. I am so glad we made the change - it worked out very well. I did notice that there were very few children in this rotation in the late seating.

We didn't go to the duelling pianos - had to save some things for the next trip !!!

Any other questions, just ask ;)
Have a fabulous time - Cindy
