Just back from 6 nights YC and 1 night GF w/pics!

Welcome Back!! I loved the pictures. The YC is one of our favorites and we hope to stay at Christmas. We just got back too but we stayed at POP and had a great time. We had dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse, can you say fabulous??

Tammy - typing this from Crofton right now! We went to Yachtsman for Easter Dinner a couple of years ago, yes it was great!

We were at YC June 28-July 12th - were you there for any of those dates?

Although the Poly and GF rooms are bigger I have to say that I think YC offers the most drawer space of any of the resorts that we've stayed at. This really helps with 5 people traveling for two weeks!

Were you there the day the YC boat dock was closed because of the swarm of bees?

We had a great stay also.

Yes, we were at the YC July 8-14. We really love the Yacht Club as well. I agree about the drawer storage, plenty of space for a family of 4 with older children. Did you see my sons picture on page 1 of this thread? Glad you had a good long stay, what room where you in? We had booked BC, when we checked in Sunday morning July 8, the CM kindly asked if we would mind switching to YC, we said sure as we really like both YC and BC. The CMs and housekeeping were great all week.

We missed the swarm of bees

We wre in room #1051 - we were facing the water and Boardwalk, a little ways down from the laundry room and side exit. We love that area since its so much easier to go out the side door to the pool, no traipsing through the lobby in swimsuits!

My kids really liked the activities by the pool in the afternoon - always something new!

we were there for the dock closure, it was the night we had dinner adrs at the HW&V and then fantasmic that evening. They posted someone to recommend we walk to the Swan to pick up the same boat because of the bees nest.

By the time we came home it was cleared away.

We heard on the boat as skippers just changed, that the hive was very large where the bees worked their way into. But it was taken of very quickly.

adding: the drawer space was great for a fmaily of 5, pleanty of space. I did not think the room was too smalll either. We were very pleased.

I am sure glad we missed the bees! Although, we were on a standing room only boat back from MGM when the AC broke. We opted to get off at Swan / Dolphin and walk back to YC. It was verrrry hot!

I will be staying at YC for the first time next month. One question..are the refridgerators standard now or do we have to request. Sorry , I 'm just trying to plan a head as we usually stay DVC.

The refrigerators are standard. There was enough room for about 10 water bottles and few apples. Have a great trip. Let me know if you have any other questions.
