We took our DD, SIL and 3 GC with us for their spring break. We had a dedicated 2 BR with 2 queen beds in the guest room.

The room was very clean and we had no maintenance problems. Mousekeeping did not do a great job on towel and trash day. Did not leave any more supplies. We had no dishwashing packets or tissues.

I have heard so many criticisms of BCV checkin personnel. They were wonderful, the most efficient and friendly I have encountered at any of the resorts.

We used our new DDE card and saved quite a bit. Sit down restaurants we ate at were 'Ohanas, Le Cellier, Cape May and Rainforest Cafe at AK (no DDE card here). Also ate a few times at Beaches and Cream. Will post a report on the restaurant board later.

DH and I are used to going in the off season, so this was a little different for us. All in all, the crowds were manageable.

We were in room 453. Standing on our balcony, looking to the left was Spaceship Earth. Looking straight out we could see the fireworks.

Thanks for the positive report. Sounds like you had a great time, especially in the food department! (A "few times" at B&C? Does that mean "every day"?! :teeth: )

A minor point: AFAIK there are no BCV checkin people, they all work for Beach Club. But I agree completely with your evaluation of them.

Glad to hear that your stay at BCV was good.

Did you happen to go in the newly reopened BC store?

Yes we did go to the new store. We did quite a bit of shopping with GC in there.

I really didn't pay much attention to the food part of it. GC got their mugs filled there. Their desserts looked good. I was going to go back and check out their sandwiches and such but I never made it. With just a quick glance it didn't look like they had a very big variety but I might be wrong.

I do think it is a good idea. I just like Beaches and Cream too much to eat anyplace else that close to it.

Edited to say that in my original post I forgot to mention how quiet the BCV were. I don't remember hearing any outside noise, in the hallway or the adjoining rooms.

Someone on the restaurant board .....Joan, I think....was asking if the store offered any specialty coffees. Did you happen to notice? I rather imagine not since there is a fill it your self station for beverages.

Does B&C still fill mugs for guests. Not that we have ever purchased Y&BC mugs so far and I don't know that we will anyway. Maybe for ice tea though now that it will be so convenient.

Is BCV your home resort?

My GS said they had cappucino there (not for the refillable mugs). I don't know if it was hot or cold and if they had any other specialty coffees.

I saw people getting their mugs refilled at the carry out at Beaches and Cream.

Our original home is BWV but we did a 100 points add-on at BCV. We did this to stay every other year in a 2BR for five nights. The GC have other grandparents in the area and that gives them time to visit them. We did the BCV so they would have SAB but it turns out they like to be on the boardwalk more. Go figure!!

I love both resorts, especially during F & W festival.

Thanks for all the info. :sunny:

I agree, you know we have stayed there twice, first when they opened and once at x-mas and I thought the place was very quiet considering the times we were there. We had pool views and it was not busy at all.

Interesting that you said that and its April, normally very busy.
