Hey All... Just got back this afternoon from the Western 5/22.. It was great. Weather couldn't have been better the entire week. Food was BETTER than last time. Very pleased with our food experiences. Our room 7522 was GREAT. I was concerned about it being too far forward (motion and all..) and it was PERFECT. Now I don't want to do this again without a verandah. I am hooked officially. Our server's were Trifonio (India) and San (phillipines) Both were great. Grand Cayman (the island) was unimpressive, but we took an excursion on our own thru Native Way watersports. Pleased. Went to Stingray City and snorkeling. Both were fantastic. Bought an overpriced DVD ($60!!!) of the whole thing, BUT it is our vacation, so we bought it. I'm glad we did. Cozumel was fun, I would like to go back. Key West was just OK. It is pretty, but too much of a party town for families. Overall, I was very pleased with the whole thing. If you have any questions, just ask. I'll try and answer if I know the answer. I'm ready for back to back 7 day cruises. That'd be cool.

So glad you had a great cruise. DD (Palo) said the weather had been fantastic last week, so you were really lucky.

Hope you get a back-to-back cruise one day. We've done it once, and hope to do it again next year. (If funds allow!)

Hi Wonderwoman! Glad you had a great time. We're going on our 1st seven day cruise July 17th. How much did you pay for the Stingray City Excursion (did you do the swim & snorkel?) and do you feel it was worth the money? Also do you have to pay for the tender boats? Thanks for any info!! Cathie & The Gang:wave2:

Hi Cathie, we've booked our excursion for stingray city through nativewaywatersports we've only paid $80 for me , dh and ds 13 and we'll get 45 mins at stingray sandbar and 45 mins snorkelling at coral gardens, here's what a recent cruise said, sounds good to me.

We have heard great reviews about both! We booked Nativeway Watersports via internet @$30pp + tip. Sorry, can't help you with children's rate.

Sharon Banks, the owner, met us at the dock appx 8:30-9am. Her bus driver met us, took us to the boat. We were surprised there were only 6 people on the excursion, plus 2 guides!

We arrived at sandbar early enough to beat the crowd. It was our first time swimming with the stingrays, so it was quite the adventure for us! Surprised to learn they are gentle, warm blooded creatures.

Our guides were a hoot... swimming with us, teaching us how to feed, hold and kiss the stingrays. We took pix with our cameras, no pix or video were for purchase. They furnished snorkle gear, punch, water, snacks. It was a very fun filled and one of our cruise high lights!! We were back at the ship by 1ish.

Have fun!

Wonderwoman1982, my family also had Trifonio and San as our servers, we had first seating - large table 11 people. they were excellent, great to the kids and very helpful. if we ever go back hope to have them again.

Curious what dining rotation you had. We hope to get a great seving team on June 26.

We were on the same cruise. We are still at WDW. We had a verandah on deck 8 and I agree that I would not do another cruise without one. We enjoyed the cruise as well but were unimpressed with the food and we all came home sick!!! There were 5 of us and we ended up with colds and I have a sinus infection. Even after repeated hand washing!!:(

Wonderwoman - we were in cabin 7520 on our last cruise in October 2003. We loved it. It is a great location.

Glad you had a good time. We rebooked while on board last fall and weren't going to sail again until next Spring but just this morning we moved our date up to Sept of this year! I can hardly wait!!

Hey WW!

We were on the same cruise. Agreed, the weather was awesome. About 10 degrees cooler & it would have been PERFECT.

We did an inside room this time, due to having some family with budgetary constraints going with us. We will always travel with a verandah from now on. Our biggest beef with the inside room was that they are DIM. We needed about 500 lumens more light.

THis was the 1st time I had seen KW in about 15 years. Sorry to say I have not missed much. Probably won't book a vacation THERE anytime soon.

Caymans was ok. Our excursion in Cozumel was disappointing.

But on the whole, the trip was AWESOME!!

And we ALMOST won that freakin' 7 day cruise in "Mouskateer"

Hey Cathie, we paid $30 p/adult and $20 for our child. We swam with stingrays and then snorkeled by the edge of the reef. VERY cool. I think the snorkeling was the best part. We saw moray eels, a shark and I grabbed a hold of a sea turtle so my daughter could touch it. VERY cool. Yes, it was worth it, BUT I wanted to say I was told the same thing about the times at each place as well, but it wasn't that long. I'd say we were with stingrays about 30 minutes (PLENTY of time IMO) and we snorkeled for about 25-30 minutes. This is the only part I wanted to do for longer because we saw so many cool things.

JSkelton 83, were you on the same cruise as me? We had a large group seated at the table next to us with a bunch of kids that Trifonio really took great care of. Just curious...

BethA, we had APLAPLA rotation.

JimB, I agree about Key West. And sorry you didn't win Mouskateer! But that is cool you ALMOST made it!!

I'm glad that you had a great time. What movies were playing in the theater? I will be on this Saturdays cruise. Yippee!!!

We were on that cruise too. I must say PERFECT WEATHER. We had a wonderful time.

The mouseketeer show was pretty good. I was rootin' for the 7 day cruise to be won.

Wonderwoman: What made Cozumel "fun"? What did you do there?? Did you go to Paradise Beach??...many posters have said its really nice.

Sounds like a great trip

Wonderwoman1982 - yes that was us, 6 adults and 5 kids 14, 11, 7, 4, 3. And Trif did take very good care of us. wonderful server. we also loved Sans tricks.

Hey, Wonderwoman1982. Glad to hear a good report on room 7522. Hope you left it in good condition as that's the one we have for our 6/14/04 Eastern! If you left anything, let me know and we'll pick it up for you. :teeth:
