We had an awsome trip. This was my first time at the Poly and BWV and we enjoyed them both.
At the Poly we were in the Tuvelou(sp) longhouse on the garden side. We felt it was a fine location close to the GCH & pool. We arrived around 4pm on Friday 6/20 and had dinner at Ohana then my DGD8 swam in the rain a bit. We saw the electrical parade on the lake which was awsome. The next day we had planned to take a break at the resort pool so we could enjoy the Poly some more on our short two night stay but it was raining so we went to Epcot that afternoon instead. As it turned out, we didn't get to spend that much time at the Poly but for sleeping. I'll have to say that I liked AKL over the Poly as AKL sort of drew me in and made me not want to leave where the Poly did not. We did enjoy it though and would gladly return again.
What can I say about the BWV but it exceeded my expectations. I bought DVC with my home resort at BCV, but I can see us returning to BWV! We had a one BR and totally loved the jacuzzi and washer/dryer. The rooms, lobby & grounds were beautiful and the atmosphere festive. The only thing I didn't like was the transportation. We were at the bus stop at 7:15am (some people had been there since 7am) to go to EE at AK and there wasn't a bus until 7:55 and it was almost full when it arrived so it didn't hold us all. At that point we couldn't have made it to AK EE so we went to Epcot that day instead. We had a couple more long waits as well and 5 stops was way too much and too long. I've stayed from value resort to deluxe and I'll have to say this was the the only time I've had a problem with transportation. We ended up taking a taxi a couple times to DTD for Cirque and to the CR for CG PS. We'll consider renting a car next time for sure. That said, we'd return here in a heartbeat and probably will....many times.
I'd be glad to answer any questions!
