Just back from 10 nights YC CL!

Thanks for the lovely little trip report Candace! What a great view you had, and the room looks wonderful. Any reviews of the sandcastle club??

Yes!!! We used the Sandcastle Club one night for the girls. They LOVED it! Last year they had stayed at the Cub's Den at the WL and by comparison, the Sandcastle Club is much bigger, brighter and it seemed like there were more activities.

Both girls liked the meals they got (I think one chose a hot dog and one chose Mac n cheese).

They honestly kept begging to go back for the rest of the trip, they liked it that much!!!

The staff members were super friendly as well and put my youngest (who tends to be shy) right at ease....

I have stayed on the Boardwalk and for our 25th anniversary we were CL honeymoon suite at WL. I feel the same way as you do, I would be in heaven if the WL was on the Boardwalk.

For me, the YC is beautiful...a really nice resort.

The WL is beautiful....but, also a magical place. There is just something super special about that place.

I live by the water so for me YC or BC aren't that special. Last trip we stayed at Boardwalk Inn. After the trip my DDs said they would have preferred WL. We will take them in 3 years to celebrate college graduation and we plan on staying at WL.

If a good rate comes out, DH and I will stay at WL this November rather than Port Orleans as we plan now.

Candace - taking Club out of the equation. Why do you like WL so much? I have never stayed, wanted a refurb before I did but a good internet buddy who always stays YC did WL last summer and was really disappointed. I think it boiled down to the pool and maybe room size. What is it about WL that appeals to you? I would like to try it sometime but did you love it so much b/c it was CLUB? Thanks!

We are really looking forward to our August stay. We love BC CL. Now trying YC regular room. Hope maybe we'll get a magical upgrade too but if not, I'll still be thrilled to be there for 12 nights!!

We've had 3 stays at WL non CL. Love WL too. The only thing I wouldn't enjoy about WL CL is the awful solid balcony. It's kind of a deal breaker for me . We got stuck with one on our 2nd stay, and hated it (the balcony). Had a courtyard view but couldn't see a thing if I was sitting down.

In August we stayed CL at AKL and loved the food there. Seems strange how the CL food offerings vary so much between resorts

We really loved the compactness of WL. The theming is amazing. Our jaws dropped several times during our stay. When walking into the WL, I could literally feel my shoulders relax and stress melt away, it was just calming. I loved our view of Cinderella Castle and hearing the boat horns outside. We loved the bunk beds for our kids. We loved the view of Wishes from our balcony.

While we enjoyed SAB, I actually liked the smaller pool at WL. With young children it was just easier to keep track of them. My DD9 wouldn't go near the SAB slide, but loved the WL slide.

And, of course....the CL was really phenomenal (have to mention).

It was just a better fit for us, and we really felt the magic of Disney there. The YC just felt like a really nice hotel. Not sure if that makes sense.

I'm sure it all depends on personal preference, and again, we really enjoyed YC but we kept saying...."remember at WL????...."

I think our late flight had more to do with the plane we were taking to Orlando leaving late from California...

We actually DID use the balcony at YC a lot more than we did at WL. But I think that is more because we were at WL in July and I really had no interest in standing out there in the heat, but, we could stand out there at night and watch Wishes....and that was
