Just Back From 10/16 Eastern Magic. Any Questions?

Thanks for replying Cramam and jlawall.

My son is really into the whole pirate thing, which is why I thought the Doubloon would be cool.

My daughter (the five year old) is not a super swimmer, but is not afraid of floating on top of deep water so hopefully she would be fine.

I am all for them serving some adult bevs on board. The website just had a lot of pics of girls in skimpy bikinis with their pirate tatoos in various places and stuff and I wondered if my husband might like the excursion a little more than my son!

I will also look at the Capt. Nautica as well, but I am still thinking that my son would love the pirate theming of the Doubloon.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate all of the help. Thanks too to Sandy for posting the thread and being willing to answer questions.

DH did the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel last week. His parents, in their 50's and grandmother, 79 went too. I'll ask what they thought of it.

I live in South FL where it's in the high 80's to mid 90's all summer long (with HIGH humidity) and I still thought it was hot in St. Maarten and St. Thomas last week.

JenB ~ The signs looked good. DS and I walked all over the ship to see them (about 20). I sent you 2 PM's.

The Movies were:
Raising Helen
Princess Diaries 2
Brother Bear
King Arthur
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Alamo
Jungle Book 2
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
Around the World in 80 Days
The Village
Mr. 3000
Finding Nemo
Home on the Range

The "Movie Special" (aka PremEAR Movie) was Laddar 49

we were also on the oct.16 and the room was freezing all day and night regardless of the temp settings.. be sure to ask for extra blankets . both my cabin neighbor and i caught colds.

My mom's cabin was too cold the first day...we talked to Craig (our steward) and he had someone come in and adjust the thermostat...after that no problem.

We turned our temp setting all the way up and it got so it was bearable, but still quite cool. DM had to have her's fixed because it was very cold in her cabin.

We were in St. Thomas from Oct. 7- 18th.

The Trade Winds kicked in around the 15th. and all was much more pleasant.

Magen's Bay is more pleasant (in temperature) than the downtown area.

Coki Beach and Saphire are always a little breezy.

St. John always has a nice breeze blowing as well.

Hope you all don't give up on St. Thomas, we have been there 4 times and this was the hottest. At least there wasn't a hurricane:bounce: :bounce:
