Just back- Fastpass Plus from offsite perspective

I was getting really nervous reading these boards before I left not being able to schedule fastpass in advance, so I wanted to give some info. to those in the same boat. Seems like the hardest fastpass to get is Enchanted Tales with Belle- I hit the machine at 11 the first day, and no passes left (and no Peter Pan till 7pm). This was a pretty crowded day (a 7) and we were glad to have some fastpasses for the evening that we made that morning. Everything else seemed to have A LOT more availabilty. Storybook circus was definitely the least crowded location- no wait. The second day a guy with the fastpass tablet came up to me before rope drop- even then the first fastpass for Belle was 7:15 (and this day ended up being a crowd level of 2). Now we were able to walk into Belle with a 15 minute wait that day with crowds so low, but I imagine that is going to be the tough one on busier days. I would recommend rope drop- we were able to do so much at rope drop. At HS, I was afraid we wouldnt get a Toy Story fastpass so we did rope drop- they opened at 8:45 and we could walk right on. When I visited the fastpass people (there were no kiosks, just a ton of people spread about), the first fastpass for Toy Story was 6 (with a 7pm close). We didnt even bother with it in Epcot or Animal Kingdom, the waits were so low. If you are going in a slower time of year like us I wouldnt worry about it too much, but I can definitely see how you might miss out in busier times.

I can totally see that - I was onsite and had to set up our ETWB fastpass a week in advance to get ANYTHING remotely before 6 pm and then I didn't dare give it up!

Interesting about TSM. I was offsite also last week, and arrived at DHS at 9:10. I was able to get ToT for 9:45, Star Tours for 10:45, and TSM for 12:30.

We arrived at AK at 3:00, and I was able to get Safari for 3:15, EE for 4:30, and Nemo for the 6:00 show.

I loved FP+ for offsite, at least this time of year!

As an off site person I have been worried about this new system. I own a condo in Orlando and cannot see myself staying on site. I might stay one night to get the bands, will just have to see. Will be I town in March and May venture over just to try it out.

We weren't offsite, but we did make some Fastpass+ reservations from the kiosk. On a Wednesday around 12:30pm we were still able to book Peter Pan for 5:55, Wishes for 7:40, and Meet Ariel at her Grotto for 8:30. On another day we made our FP+ from the kiosk at 6:30pm and got Buzz for 6:55, Space Mountain for 8:00, and Pooh for 9:00. So it seems that availability during non-peak times might not be that bad.

We were at Epcot a couple weekends ago. We arrived @10:45 in the morning went to the kiosk to reserve FP+. Only able to get 2 FP+ that we wanted and all the evening TT were not available. Did seem kind of crowded, but I don't know. We felt rushed in making our decisions.
