Just back.....Everest for chickens!!!

I'm a ride chicken too, and I rode it. The drop did make my stomach drop a bit, but not soooo much that I would not ride it again. I also did Tower of Terror back in 1998. That was HORRIBLE! I will agree with the OP that the drop isn't tame, but it isn't something that would make you regret that you rode it either.

Thanks for the heads up :thumbsup2 I'll be sitting this one out. I don't do thrill rides anymore--vertigo :crazy2: That would pretty much ruin my day.

I'm also a big chicken when it comes to big drops, but I can handle the drop on Splash because I know it will be over soon. How is the big drop on Everest compared to Splash?

I think it's about the same as Splash, maybe not as big as a drop. But it's SOOOOO much cooler than Splash. Speaking of Splash, I went on it for the first time at WDW the other day. Am I wrong to say that the one in DL is alot better? Splash at WDW seemed so cheap or cheesy to me.

Anyway, EE is really cool and you have to try it. The backwards part is probably the most intense part of it, and that is over in a second. The part where there is the Yeti is really cool.

Have fun! If a chicken like me can go on it, anyone can. I won't do RnR anymore, and it will take alot to get me back on ToT (I haven't been on it in about 5 years).

Okay..I always have to get into these EE threads to get as much info as possible. About the drop....some say it's banked...others lead one to believe that it's straight down. I've watched the videos on Google again and again and can't figure it out.

So...what is it...banked or straight down??

Both :thumbsup2

It starts out straight down but then it banks around and back up.

Everest was a fun ride for sure, but I thought Rockin' Rollercoaster was more of a thrill ride.

Still, neither compare to the thrill rides I had this past weekend at the state fair where you wonder, while hanging upside down, if the stoned, tattooed guy running the ride really checked the safety of the ride when he woke up in the morning.

The drop on EE is 30 feet taller than the one on splash just for the record. :Pinkbounc
