We just got back last night and I wanted to pass on a quick story about a very helpful CM.

We went to the MVMCP on the 18th and after a great night in the Magic Kingdom we headed for the exit. My wife and I have made 11 trips since 2000 to WDW and we have never used the bus service until this trip. So we had no idea that the resort bus stop was right outside the MK. We thought that we had to go back to the TTC. So we hopped on the monorail and then got a very bad feeling when we arrived there at the TTC. We found only one bus idling near the TTC and it said "Epcot" on the message board. Definitely not a good sign.

We asked the driver where we could get a bus back to CSR and he explained that the resort buses were back at the MK. Then some serious Disney Magic happened. I guess he could tell how exhausted we all were, including my 1 and 3 year old, because he told us to hop on board and he would drive us back to CSR himself!

What a great surprise and it was totally appreciated. We had our own private bus ride back to CSR. I wish that I had gotten his name because I would have sent a letter of thanks for him going above and beyond his job to help us out.

Disney Magic lives on :thumbsup2

What a nice thing to happen. A special Disney employee keeping the magic alive! pixiedust:

We've had that happen to us too! All I can say is that the bus drivers are such special CMs who get overlooked from tired guests.

We had a Magical Bus Moment on our last trip too. We were staying at the Swan & heading to breakfast at Boatwright's. We went to MGM to grab the bus to Riverside. After waiting for quite some time (not many busses going back to resorts before Park opening), the dispatcher had a Mickey Mouse Special take DH & I over to POR. We had the bus all to ourselves. And to top it off, we had the same busdriver we had chatted with on an AKL bus the day before. She was great & it really made our morning.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 For the Disney Bus Operators / Dispatchers. Regardless of a few kinks in the system, they have always taken great care of us & we really appreciate not having to drive on vacation.

That's one of the reasons we go back year after year!!
Just wonderful!!

:goodvibes

We had a somewhat similar experience with transportation last week. We had eaten at WL, and the evening ran late. The kids were so beat, we decided to take a cab back to POR rather than the boat, then bus. We asked bell services for a cab, and instead, they had a WL van driver come up to the front drive and drive us to POR for no charge. We tipped her generously (too much actually...neither of us knew the other had tipped her!), but it was so considerate of WL. We found Disney service to be above and beyond over and over!

We also had a similar incident with a bus driver. We had gone to the Wilderness Lodge for Dinner with friends and trying to get back to Coronado. When we got on the bus, he said he was going to MGM and he would drop us off there. When we got there he talked to a CM directing buses and asked if he could pick up Coronado guests so we didn't have to wait. Very nice young man, we didn't ask for him to do so, but were quite glad he did!

In November we did a Wishes cruise, which was great. Our Captain, Carlos, was very nice and told us all kinds of fun information. Naturally I left my camera on the boat, which I discovered as we were about to leave the Contemporary, where we had gotten the cruise. DD and DH went right back in but couldnt find it. They left word at the desk. By the time we got back to POFQ where we were staying there was a message from the Wilderness ( I dont know why!) saying camera had been found and would be returned by morning. Sure enough, as we left breakfast there was a WL van outside- we checked and they had brought the camera. And on it we found a funny picture of Carlos!
