Hi everyone!
I returned Monday from my first ever Disney cruise, and i'm so sad to report that Cruising is just not the right vacation for me. I was so sick, even with a prescription anti nausea patch, that I barely left my stateroom.
I was able to make dinner reservations for Remy our first night but had to leave before the main course even came! I wasn't able to do even a quarter of the things I had planned. I did get to visit the Rainforest Room on Saturday when we were docked at Nassau, but as soon as we started moving again I was nauseated and had to go to sleep.
I was able to take one quick trip on the Aquaduck Sunday morning when everyone was on Castaway Cay, which I highly recommend. I also got off the ship at the Cay and enjoyed a couple of hours just laying on the beach and floating in the ocean.
I was quite disappointed to find that there are now lifeguards stationed at the adults only Serenity beach. The water was at low tide and I could easily walk to the sand bar as water was only ever knee deep at best. However, the lifeguards repeatedly blew their whistle and insisted guests stay behind the red buoys.
We were also forbidden to access the snorkel trail on Serenity Beach, as we were told this area was reserved for 18 to 21 year olds only! This left me fuming and I hope enough people complain about this restriction. To me, an adult beach is an adult beach and this includes anyone 18 to a million!
The waters were choppy and horrible returning to Cape Canaveral on Sunday night / Monday morning and the boat was rocking so hard the bathroom door and the safe door kept slamming open and into the closets! needless to say I got no sleep at all and was so ready to be off the ship!
