Just back CSR, December 10-17

Glad you had a great trip!! Couple questions, were the internal golf cart shuttles still going around the resort picking up people?? THey had them when we were there in August and it was a wonderful perk to the resort. Also did you get food from the new grab and go area, I think next to the new night club?? Just wondering how extensive their menu is??

The internal shuttles are still running.

We did get food from Cafe Rix on our last day. They had a wide selection of bakery items, prepacked sandwiches, salads, beverages, fresh fruit, chips, and snacks. We had the prepacked sandwiches which came in a plastic container with an apple. My DH and DS got turkey and cheese, DD got the children's peanut butter and jelly (a real PB & J-not Uncrustables), I got the ham and cheese. All the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The ham and turkey had packets of mayo and mustard included. The child's lunch also had a small box of raisins. I don't remember seeing any hot food items. Cafe Rix is located next to Panchito's Gift Shop. The service was quick.

Thanks for the review. I'd love to see some pics, I'm going in Feb to CSR. I requested cabanas 9B, as it is close to the main building. You think the casitas are better looking? From pics, the ranchos look the best, then cabanas. Too bad the ranchos are so far out there.

Great pics! We have stayed at CSR twice and really enjoyed it. We also prefer the Casitas section both for proximity to the bus and el centro as well as the beautiful look to it!

ps - just a reminder that CSR has two types of carts. One is for bell services and the maintenance crew and one is for shuttling guests. The first one will not stop for guests walking, even if they are empty, they are off to pick up guests checking out and/or performing maintenance on someone's room. Only the courtesy shuttles will do that.
