I just got back and I must say the parks were very crowded compared to last year! We stayed at the RPH and it was fantastic. We had a great time due to Express. We were shocked and mad that Shrek did not have Express, and the wait lines got as long as 70 minutes! Go to Shrek early in the morning and it is only 30 minutes.

No express for on site guests? That is ridiculous.

I really hope that changes.

I think that if you are staying onsite you ask one of the employees and they'll show you a seperate entrance for onsite guests.

When we were there a few weeks ago, there was no express sign, but we asked the ride op & were directed to a separate line. The regular line starts at the door & goes up against the building to the right until you get to the very end of the building. It then winds back & forth on the right side of the building & gets so long it streams out into the street area. If you are an express guest & are approaching Shrek from the park entrance, you would walk past the line of regular guests lining the front of the building until you get to the doorway of the building. To the left of you is a line that goes the short distance to the left until you reach that side of the building & then winds around that side eventually coming out at the entrance from the left. In other words, if I were the first express guest in line & you were the first regular guest in line, we would be facing each other on either side of the doorway. Express guests are seated first when they begin seating of the next show. I'm pretty sure this is how it went, although I didn't see much of the express line to the left...there were others ahead of us & where we stood in line put us right in front of the door, so when the express line began moving we just entered straight through at the end of that line.

Oh wow....just proofread that & I'll be amazed if anyone understood a word I said! Bottom line....unless they changed it since a few weeks ago, express is still available, just not marked. I would rather ask a ride op before I stood in a 70 minute line!

OOOPS...there is express for onsite guests. Just no regular express. We were there at the beginning of the month and walked right in eventhough the standby was 2 hrs. Sorry to hear you missed out. You just have to ask a CM and they show you the way.

yeah... what she said =)

When we went the same was for us, I just asked and was put in that seperate line and entered first.

We were there a week ago and there was a separate line for hotel guests. We were able to go on Shrek several times and were always allowed in first.... I don't remember an express sign but we did ask the attendant and he directed us to the right place...

ALWAYS ASK ANYWAY. ON-SITE GUEST PAY A LOT OF $$$ FOR THE PRIVILEGE.::yes::

So, even with an express plus pass, I still do no get FOTL access to Shrek?

I understood you perfectly! ;)

Now I am mad!

I showed my hotel key cards and told three different people I was from the royal pacific on two seperate days. They would not let me do any express. I was not the only one. Some other people were denied any express access even though they were hotel guests. They were told it was too busy to give express.

Isn't the whole point of FOTL for onsite guests to reduce wait times when it IS BUSY.
If the policy becomes FOTL available, but only if it's not too busy, I bet they start losing some hotel bookings.
While we loved both HRH and RPR - we pay the premium to stay there mostly because of FOTL.
So sorry you were not able to take advantage of it on Shrek.

are you saying you didn't receive FOTL for ANY rides?? Or just Shrek???

I did not get FOTL Access for Shrek. All of the other rides were not a problem, and we had a great time.

I sounds like my family and some others just ran into the wrong attraction workers because some did get FOTL while my family and some others did not. Shrek was by far the longest wait of any ride or attraction.

thanks for clearing that up! Sorry you were treated poorly.

You dont have to ask, just go in the seprate line.

If you are looking at the door where they let you in , directly in front of you. To the left will be the hotel key card line, sometimes it is emtey, sometimes it will have people in it

In CHRIST,

Gavin

We stayed at the RPR June 4-7 and were allowed express extrance to Shrek when we showed our room key. Obviously I couldnt locate the express entrance so I asked the guy at the stand by line and he said no express entrance unless you are staying onsite. I told him I was and when we got the "express entrance" we showed our room keys and were let right in.
