Just back..Buzz is open

It was closed as of me leaving last week and I did a search to see if there was a recent thread so sorry if this is common knowledge now

but Buzz is up and running.

Yes, I was there the day it re-opened... a FULL WEEK EARLY!

Several folks were thanking the load-CM for getting it open so early...
she was laughing and saying, "You're welcome!"

So, the next time someone posts the very common question, "Does Disney ever open rides that are being refurbished earlier than posted?"... We can answer, "Yes, they sometimes do!"

But Splash Mtn. was opened ON the day it was scheduled to reopen...
Happy to say that the turtles are now floating on jets of water at the lowest cellar position, and the other water effects in that area are all working...
BUT, Brer Rabbit still does NOT HOP around that fence like he used to!!!

Only problem is...it really should be still closed. The cars look absolutely terrible. The need paint and general repair VERY bad.

I do agree there, too!
I wonder if they opened early to accomodate the "dance teams" that flooded into WDW Friday (and had a special "party event" that night)?

Maybe they'll do some paint-work during the next "lull" time (I can only HOPE!)

I'm glad it is open now. Hopefully we can go on it during our next short trip over to MK.
