BLT- we stayed in a water view room which overlooked the pool on the 16th floor. Very easy access to fireworks viewing and a very nice room. They were just finishing changing the locks over when we were there and we had no problems with the key cards working after the switch. I loved the ability to walk to MK and will plan to stay here again.
BCV-first stay in a very long time though we do own points here. The room was very clean and stocked properly and as those who remember my last post before leaving sugested, there were no issues and I could not have been happier. The ability to walk to Epcot and the studios is such a plus.
OKW- It is my favorite, but they really do need to attend to housekeeping and repair issues better than they are now. I did take photos and shared them with a manager and she tried her best to solve them. I gave up. I will say the room is cleaner now when I left since I cleaned it myself. I am not saying I will not go back, but I will say that more attention to detail is important. I will be emailing the manager I worked with since she asked me to and I will voice my concerns one more time. I would not want anyone to think that is what DVC is all about and moreover would not want anyone else to get a room in such condition. Bottom line, spraying clorox clean up so it smells clean does not make a room clean.
Overall, we enjoyed the trip very much and had a wonderful time dispite DH throwing his back out by lifting two suitcases and twisting the wrong way! Poor DH, he powered through and did the best he could to make sure the kiddo had a great trip! By the last 2 days he was pretty much back to normal and was able to take DD on rides I just can't do like Mission Space Orange...one trip on that and I am down for the count for a few hours!
I am already planning for next year. though I can't do too much until I know when DD will start college and all that orientation and placement stuff.
I wonder are there rooms at OKW that just see more wear and tear? If so where are the ones that don't? I could use a suggestions for a room location.
