Hi,
Just got back from a great trip, 8/6-10. Before I left, I had read some posts about avoiding extra evening hours and going to that park the next day. Wow! What a great tip! We got on so many rides at MK and the parade/fireworks were totally manageble. My friend who had also gone in June couldn't believe the difference in crowd levels using this strategy.
To confirm this great tip....on the next extra evening hours at MK, we went into the park to buy some stuff and it was a madhouse. The line through security was bad, the line in the gate was bad, there were so so many people. And this was around 2pm. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.
We decided to avoid extra morning hours because we assumed this also created crowds. But we have no proof.
We also decided that rain is our friend. The temp was so much nicer during and after a nice long rain. It may have helped thin crowds but not sure.
To those of you going soon, have a great trip! WDW is the best!
