Just back ASMu 1/26-1/30

We're back from our 1st stay at ASMusic. We enjoyed it. DD loved the pool. Our last morning she got to help wake up the pool trio and thought it was THE coolest thing.

We were in Jazz, which I requested. It was the perfect spot. Close to ice and stairs. I was surprised by the amount of trees and bushes. We couldn't even see the back of the resort. The cowboy boots weren't visible much to the dismay of my dd! It is a really pretty resort. Landscaping everywhere.

Uhh...let's see....dh went one morning to get coffee and was gone forever. I was thinking he was eating bfast, but nope, it just took that long to get coffee! He said it was an absolute choatic mess. We avoided the food court in the morning like the plague. We ate there a couple times for dinner. It was fine. I think the food court feels like it could use a good scrubbin' and some fresh paint. DD insisted it was "stinky" but dh and I didn't notice.

Bus service was fine. We never onced stopped at ASMovies when going to a park. A couple times on the way home we dropped off at ASSp. Didn't have any problem at all with it.

I'll post a few pics. I didn't think this "review" thru before posting so I may be forgetting some things. If you have any questions I'll try to answer.

Oh, I forgot the games and activities that they had were fun. I wished we would've had more time to do them. It's a neat thing.

We'd stay here again. I'd prefer a mod just b/c of having a fridge, coffee maker and a hot tub but we'll probably end up here again.

We all will be there day this Saturday and I planned to request Jazz Building. Is that what you did? Request that building?

The Wii looks fun! I'm sure my children will have a great time playing the games.

Hi, can I ask why you requested Jazz? We are going to be staying at All Star Music next week and have never been there before. I have been curious as to where we should try to stay while at ASMU.

Your pictures are great!!! We are staying at Music in December and your pictures helped me to be more excited (if that's possible). We have stayed there once before but not since the rooms have been updated. Did you pay for preferred, or is just the calypso area preferred????

I would love to see more pictures if you have any!!!

I requested Jazz because it's the closest to the food court and bus stops without paying for preferred. Only Calypso is preferred.

Yes, when I made my request I just asked for the jazz inn buildings. I didn't ask for anything more specific because I wanted to up my chances of being in that section.

It looks pretty quiet there at the resort. How were the parks? We are looking at staying in the family suites this time next year.

The parks were not bad. More crowded than we expected but nothing horrible. We waited in line to meet characters longer then we waited for rides!

Waking up the trio - I don't know what it's really called or if it has a name - anyway dh took dd out to swim while I packed. Around 9:30 or 10:00 the lifeguard came over and asked dd if she wanted to help "wake up the trio" (they have names I just don't know them.) the 3 squirting guys at the main pool:

He told her they had been out all night with Mickey but it was time for them to wake up and start squirting. So he gave her maracas and a tambourine and they started playing music and voila the trio started spraying water for the day. She got a sombrero (sp?) hat, a little pair of maracas and a certificate. She was so excited about it. It was neat.
