Just back - anyone else think it was busy?

I read on another board that WDW is the de facto evacuation destination for everyone from South Florida! Glad you all had a great time!

We are here now. We got in on Saturday and I thought that the MK was packed on SUnday by around 11. Good thing we were in by 8 for a PS @ Crystal Palace. We did most everything in Fantasyland before it got too bad. I thought it was also busy @ DS today but maybe I'm just dreaming of empty parks.

Downtown DIsney Marketplace was busy tonight with Trick-or-Treaters everywhere including us. They did a nice job.

Yeap, as one of those Wilma refugees from South FL I can definitely vouch that thousands more people flooded WDW from our area. You can only go so long without electricity and gas before you go looney, especially with "young ones". WDW is normally our "escape" from reality so you can bet I looked right into going there after the storm hit. As long as you had enough gas you were good to go!

We've been here since last Thurs. and still have no electricity at home. We were supposed to leave tomorrow but extended another day. DD has no school and our electric is still out so we're going to milk it as long as we can.

I also noticed that the parks were quite busy this past weekend and were for sure mobbed with many South Floridians however as the electric is restored many have returned home. I must say I have noticed a substantial difference in crowd levels just between yesterday and today in both the hotel we're staying at as well as in the parks. It's quite enjoyable. Visiting MK tomorrow, that will be the real "test"
