I got home last night from a week at WDW and I'm ready to plan my next trip! It was very HOT, but I usually go in the off season so I was more affected by it than others may have been. Had a great time anyway. I stayed at Pop Century and it was nice. Had a little problem one night when the AC broke at the hotel and in trying to fix it, they set off the fire alarm. It added a little excitement to the night. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

I'd love to hear about your stay at Pop (but I don't know if you're supposed to talk about that stuff here on the Theme Park board). Other than the A/C fire alarm issue, did you enjoy it there? We're headed to Pop for the first time in a couple of weeks, and I'm a little nervous about trying somewhere new.

Did you get to Epcot, and if so, did you notice if the Wonders of Life pavillion was open?

Pop was good and bad. I'm not sure I'll stay there again. It was very clean as are all Disney resorts and very cute with all the large icons, the themed music in each section, etc. The walls were very thin and I could hear a lot of noise at night. I'm up early and to bed early, so that was a bit of a problem for me. I could hear people talking loudly in the next room, phones ringing, etc. Also, on this trip, we spent more time at the hotel than we usually do because of the heat and crowds - needed to take a break in the afternoon. Not as much to do at the hotel as at some of the moderate or deluxe resorts. The food court was very good and had a big selection of food and drinks. One note - request a building close to Classic Hall. We didn't request any particular section and were put in the 90's which was the farthest away from the food court and bus stops. It was a hike when we were tired each evening. I would stay at either the 60's or 70's for convenience. Overall, a nice resort though. I hope you enjoy it!

We did go to Epcot and the Wonders of Life pavilion was closed while we were there.

How were the crowds at most of the parks? manageable?

Glad you had a good time :) :) :)

this is what i found at all-earsnet.com:
~~The Wonders of Life Pavilion in Epcot will operate on a greatly reduced schedule beginning January 5, 2004. Body Wars, Cranium Command and the Making of Me will be available during periods of peak attendance. The quick service dining and merchandise locations in the pavilion will cease operations.~~

We returned on Tuesday. We noticed on Monday that the crowds got smaller. The Florida schools that were closed due to Charley were going back this week. The parks were a bit crowded for this time of year, but with Fast pass it wasn't a long wait anywhere.:sunny:

I didn't really notice a decrease in crowds from last week to this week. All the parks were manageable except MK. We went three different days and by afternoon, it was too crowded to do anything. The wait times were very long and even the fastpass times were for late in the day. I felt I couldn't even walk without bumping into people. Way too crowded at that park for me. Epcot was the least crowded and most enjoyable. MGM was very manageable also.

As for the Wonders of Life Pavilion, the whole thing was shut down while I was there. You coudn't even go up the path to it.
