We listened to all of the advice...avoid parks that have EMH's....get to the parks before opening....use fastpasses....take an afternoon break...and....we had a fantastic trip!!!! The heat was very manageable and we did not wait in long lines for any rides. We were able to ride all of the rides that we wanted to (we even went on Soarin' 3 times) and saw all the shows that we wanted to without standing in long lines. The only downside is that we had a thunderstorms in the afternoon 4 out of 6 days that chased us out of the pool a little early.

where the pools closed for a long time after the storms came? or did they pretty quickly reopen the pools? we are planning on early mornings at the parks, and afternoons at the pools. thank you, and i am happy you had a great trip.

Are there any special beach towels for the 50th celebration. Also did you see a tie-dyed Cinderella Shirt . My daughter saw a girl on Home Makeover tonight with Tinkerbell and she was wondering if there was one with Cinderella. Also did you see a Minnie shirt (Short Sleeve) with Minnie Mouse that was written in sparkles or sequins?

So happy you had a great time. We are leaving tomorrow and people are freaking me out with all the hot weather talk. We plan on doing what you did - mornings at the park and afternoons at the pool and then back at the park.

To Justmitype:

Stick with your plan and don't listen to people who don't know what they are talking about. My DH was very concerned about the heat, but it was never a problem. We drove so that we could take our own water and we ended driving half of the water back home.

Plan on getting to the parks for opening and you will be able to ride all the biggies with little or no waiting. We used the evenings for a nice dinner, some shows, and the less popular rides. I was amazed at how much we were able to accomplish.

I believe there is a special beach towel. As for the others, my DD is 15 so we were not shopping for the same types of things and I can't really help you. Good luck in your search and have a wonderful trip!
