Crowds were typical summer time crowds. Very manageable with Fast Pass. GayDays did not seem to contribute much congestion to the crowds but we did manage to do different parks than the "official" itinerary each day. Star Wars weekend was pretty crowded at MGM though. I think that is the first time I have waited 30 minutes for the Great Movie Ride in years.

It is hot and humid (typical Florida summer). Rains or at least the sky looks threatening every afternoon.

Anything else you need to know? Feel free to ask! We came home late last nite and are planning our next trip already.

Hi Glad to hear you all had a great time.I just wish it was me:(
Did anyone go to HOP after Saturdays death of President Reagan?? I was wondering how the reaction was when his name was called. We were there 2 weeks after 9/11 and when President Bush was announced the place went wild with applause. It was very emotional to say the least.
Thanks alot,

We did not make it to HOP but we realized after the fact that we were IN the American Adventure just after he died. We had no idea that he had passed away until we returned to the hotel that nite! AA is such a great show. Always gives me chills - especially now that I have 2 dear friends overseas in Iraq serving our country.

The lines weren't too bad. The only bad one we waited in was for Pooh because we didnt get fastpasses. We did try to go back on TT a second time but they ran out of fastpasses early and the standy line was a 45 minute wait. We waited maybe 15 minutes for Mission Space in the middle of the day. We walked right on Pirates and Star Tours! I was surprised to see a line for Great Movie Ride. We waited maybe 20 minutes for that one but it WAS Star Wars weekend so I guess that is why it was more crowded than usual.

We did not see the Sword in the Stone ceremony. I dont think they had it this week.

We have already booked our ressies for AKL in December! Cant wait!

What times of the day did you spend in the park... all day, early mornings, late eves?

We were there within 30 minutes of opening every day and stayed until early evening.

Thursday - MK - arrived 9:30am and left about 6:45pm
Friday - AK - arrived 9:00am and left about 3:00pm due to storms
Sat - EC - arrived 9:15am and left about 6:30pm
Sun - MGM - arrived 9:30am and left about 2:00pm to drive home.

HTH!

Thank you for sharing and happy planning your next trip.::yes:: :wave2:

Whats up with the old 20,000 leagues lagoon. It was half empty a month or so ago... what does it look like now?

You know, Timekeeper was closed - but COP was open. I really thought that Timekeeper would be open since Alien/Stitch is not open!

We just got back from Disney (6 days) and 1 day each at Sea
World and Universal Studios. Had a great time, stayed at the
Port Orleans Riverside and must admit was very impressed. The only complaint I really had/have is the cost of the food and cost of the pictures at the end of rides or as you're coming into the Parks. I don't understand why a bottle of water is $2.50, why a cheesburger and fries is $7 and then you have to drop another 2 bucks for a coke. Also I don't understand why the pictures that are taken at the end of Splash Mtn, T of T, as you come into MK, AK and all the other spots are so darn expensive!! $10 for a 5 x 7 pix! I did buy the pix at end of Splash Mtn but would have bought more f they had been $5 or so.
Tuesday it was incredibly hot. We were at MGM Tuesday where it was reported to be 102 degrees!!! Thank goodness for Fast Passes! Would NEVER do it any other way!!
Thanks to all of you for the many tips.

I didn't notice the 20K lagoon other than the big wall around the former loading area (that then was a character greeting area). Small World was walled off as well. Timekeeper was closed. We did ride COP but we got stuck in one of the rooms (the one where they blow a fuse) twice so the ride was having some issues.

Disney food has always been pricey so nothing new there. Just budget for it or split meals. Several days I ordered a kids meal for myself and it was plenty of food! We carried in our own little soft cooler with juice boxes and bottles of water so we didn't drop the money on the drinks. One day at EPCOT we did buy the smaller bottles of water though and those were $1.50 I believe. Disney gives you free cups of ice so if you have to buy a soda then get it with no ice and ask for 2 cups of ice and share!
